The dogs are really cute inside

I found Sheridan unnecessarily unkind in the earlier episodes in her sections filmed with the lovely vet. Implying he was dull and boring. Do doubt she is delivering the lines she's been given though, so can't take the blame, but it doesn't make her look good.

There's been less of this as the series has gone on, and the vet seems to have a lower profile, so I do wonder if there has been some re editing going on.

It amazes me how much of the shape of the dog is the groom and the hair. All of the groomers are so skilled - not just with their scissors and clippers, but also with their dog handling skills.

@HighlandCowbag

Love this show and was sorry to see Mitch go, thought her camel was fab!

I also now want a standard poodle as my next dog, they are fabulous aren't they!

They are!

They really, really are!

That's one of the reasons why, in dog shows, the judges have a good feel of the shape of the dog under the haircut. Unless the breed is something shorthaired, like a Weimaraner, or a labrador, you have no idea what the conformation really is.

My groomer is on this! I have to say she is very good. TonyBennsDog always looks amazing after she’s finished with him.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 28/02/2021 11:17

Oooh!

Which one is she TonyBenn?

I LOVE Georgia!

I'll cheer for her too.

TonyBennsCat · 28/02/2021 12:47

Yes, it’s Georgia Grin! She’s great.

Mydogisagentleman · 28/02/2021 13:23

Loved the Bedlingtons.
I have one, he looks gorgeous for a day after his groom

Beddy's are a delight!

You rarely see them these days, but I met two earlier in the week and had a cuddle off them - they're lovely dogs!

Mydogisagentleman · 01/03/2021 12:57

@schadenfrude
He is a joy, thick as mince but delightful.
They do seem to be becoming more known and consequently getting more popular.
As long as they don’t attain Frenchie ubiquity I’ll be happy

Stellaris22 · 01/03/2021 17:20

Also a fan of bedlingtins, but prefer the bedlington whippet crosses. Never seen a bedlington in real life but would love to.

There's a buddy-whippet cross we meet occasionally.

He's a proper raggy little dog - looks like the raggle-taggle-gypsies-O!

Little smasher!

HagenDaz · 02/03/2021 08:58

I have a black poodle and now all I can now see is how she would look groomed like a gorilla.

Chrysanthemum5 · 02/03/2021 09:02

I liked all 4 of the the groomers but I did think it was unfair that 2 were working on breeds they had shown. And since Georgia is known to people on this thread she has now become my favourite 🤩

TonyBennsCat · 02/03/2021 09:36

A local dog walker has the most beautiful white standard poodle. Her coat feels amazing. TonyBennsDog is in love with her even if she is twice his size. Same dog walker also has a rescue Bedlington.

anamazingfind · 02/03/2021 12:40

The dog that looked like a gorilla was genius

SchadenfreudePersonified · 02/03/2021 16:06

It was, amazing.

He even looked as though he was walking on his knuckles.

I liked all of the animal transformations, but did think that the pony and lion, lovely as they were, were taking an easy way out.

Gorilla and camel were much more original.

But I'm also rooting for Georgia now, because someone on here knows her and I feel famous at third hand, just by association with this thread.

Twistered · 03/03/2021 07:09

it’s very much a thing to wear a pretty, feminine dress with a pair of chunky, white trainers.

This in bucket loads. Heels are a goner now Grin.

I'm loving Sheridan's style each week in this too. She comes across as so lovely and down to earth

Twistered · 03/03/2021 07:10

Oh I'm joining you all now rooting for Georgia because @TonyBennsCat knows her Smile

ChippyDucks150 · 03/03/2021 07:11

I really wanted to watch it, but I can't stand Sheridan Smith, so had to switch off.

Theredjellybean · 03/03/2021 07:16

We are loving this show too.
Easy, gentle, nice TV.. Perfect lockdown panacea.
But please for the love of fogs someone give Stanley a groom...

SchadenfreudePersonified · 04/03/2021 20:44

Georgia's parti-poodle is a beautiful little thing.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 04/03/2021 21:32

Thrilled that Kelly won.

I was cheering for Georgia, but on the night Kelly's dog was just fab (though I adored Georgia's "tutu").

I thought Lakhi's final dog was nothing special - beautiful dog, but all he did was give it a bath and tidy up.
