We knew when Chris said hopefully you're not in the skate off tonight....

They only bought someone in to get rid of them leaving the other skaters to continue. It would be really unfair for those who have been in since week 1 to lose to someone who had only joined this week.
Seems totally pointless although I guess he’s got his fee regardless!

Ashley not clapping again at the end, was fumbling around under his desk. Something is not right this series. It's like there's been a massive fallout that no-one is talking about.

Yes it would surely be fairer if in weeks where someone has to leave, there is no public vote, so that the new skater gets to do two skates at least?

I agree, they shouldn’t even have bothered getting anyone in, just scoring them and then announcing at the end that there wouldn’t be a public vote.
I also think something weird is going on!
(Only on Sonny jay at the moment but just read about Ashley and his non clapping again.)

They could even have tied the scores over to next week if they really wanted to. Utterly ridiculous.

Well, that was a bit pointless- I feel sorry for Matt, and hope they had to pay him well for his brief stint. It was obvious that bringing someone in this late, would lead to them leaving straight away. It wouldn't have been fair to those that have left before him. But it's not his fault- and unfair on him too.

The show really is descending into farce.

It does feel like there is something going on behind the scenes.
I miss the days of Robin Cousins. Didn't get any of this nonsense from him.

I think they’ll be lucky to get another series after this, it’s been so pointless. Ironically everything they churn out as criticism for the skaters could apply to the show. There’s no content, no passion, no story, no progression! What a crock of !

And dare I say it, even Torville and Dean’s skating is getting a bit boring too.

Phil and Holly seem a bit stilted too. Gone are the days they use to joke around with the judges. It's almost like they are stepping on egg shells. Holly in particular is not her usual self.

She just stands there with a fixed grin.

Even the jokes with JB are forced.

So I stopped watching the week before last because you know...it's not great really, then read the thread and I realised I might have missed some drama and God knows there is feck all else going on so watched this week and was very disappointed with Ashley and his ridiculous scoring, he's got a bee in his bonnet about something hasn't he, probably Barrowman who has to be the most irritating person on telly at the moment though.

I think Jayne and Chris have lost interest in the whole thing to be honest, they don't seem to be enjoying it at all.

I'd be surprised if this wasn't the last series.
