Finished the final season last night and I need to talk about it! Has anyone else watched it all?

i have, what do you want to talk about?

AnneLovesGilbert · 13/01/2021 14:56

It was the best ending I couldn’t have imagined. Nice to see Eve back. Very confused by Wes not being Wes.

Who had Laurel’s dad bumped off?

What happened to Nate?

Did any of them speak to Michaela again?

Do you think it was a good ending?

AnneLovesGilbert · 21/01/2021 10:57

Have you watched Scandal @PetuniaClark?

is that the beeb one about Christine Keeler, or some thing else?!

sofiaaaaaa · 21/01/2021 13:23

Ahhh this is my favourite show, I essentially grew up with it and I’m sad it’s over!!

I liked the ending, poor BonnieSad

I haven’t seen the ending since it first aired, but I remember that Laurel & Tegan arranged her dads death together?

I think Nate had a happy ending, didn’t he? No charges etc

It’s implied that they all cut Michaela off, but the scene with Laurel & Connor/Oliver at the end was really cute

sofiaaaaaa · 21/01/2021 13:26

Ohh, the actor that played Wes returned as grown up Christopher (Laurel/Wes’s son). I thought that was a nice touch, as the show went full circle?? It’s not actually Wes

AnneLovesGilbert · 21/01/2021 15:12

Something else entirely Grin

Scandal is also a Shondaland show, it’s annoying as fuck to start with but you’ll quickly grow to love hating nearly all of them. It’s mind bogglingly insane but similarly escapist and fantastical to Murder. Much much more violent at times but worth it. I think I watched it on Now tv but look around, might be on other services.

I know, poor Bonnie but also poor fucked up Frank. They were both too damaged to live in that world I think. If she hadn’t found out about his parentage and hadn’t felt the need to tell him I think they could have made some sort of weird sad codependent life together. But after one too many horrific revelations it was just dead.

Hopefully Nate is happy. Not sure he deserved to be up until he gave her Wes’s confession. But that was a beautiful moment.

I adore Tegan. The hand holding montage had me in bits. So touching. DH completely missed that they’d got together but I’m right they did...?

Wes was actually Christopher wasn’t he. A treat to see him again.

I’m unconvinced Laurel would have aged so gracefully and embraced the grey but you never know Grin

Tegan was such a good addition to the show! And yep, Nate definitely redeemed himself

Haha I remember thinking they went a bit OTT with old Laurel too!

AnneLovesGilbert · 21/01/2021 21:58

Old Eve on the other hand looked beautiful and totally believable.

At the start of the season I couldn’t have imagined a happy ending for Annaliese and yet it worked perfectly.

I read that the creator decided to end it with this season and she was exactly where he wanted her to be and it really felt light like that. Looping right back to the start was so clever and poignant. It seemed so long ago - so many deaths ago... - that I’d forgotten who did what to Sam. But it was that which had led to everything else that happened. And if another of them had to go then if I’m honest I was least sad to see it was Asher. Is that awful?

OP posts:
AnneLovesGilbert · 21/01/2021 21:59

Oh, what happened to Annaliese’s money?! Remember when she called for her balance and it was nearly all gone?

usedandabusedx1000 · 22/01/2021 23:38

I’ve just finished. I have had a good cry. I feel a bit pathetic actually 😳

You raise a good point - I’m not sure they ever did confirm what happened to the money did they?! They also didn’t elaborate further on quite how Laurie and Tegan mangaged to sort laurels dad out! If it was that easy why didn’t they just get rid of him ages ago 🤦🏻‍♀️

I feel really sad that Connor was the only one who had to go to prison!

Bubbles1st · 28/01/2021 23:06

Just finished watching it

Still got tear stains on my face.

Overall a great ending with good closure, however bonnie?!? I saw this thread last week and it took me all my effort to not open it.

What next to watch?

Catflapkitkat · 01/02/2021 06:43

This was recommended to me but I just couldn't get into it. I watched the first 3 episodes of series one but it didn't grab.

Bubbles1st · 01/02/2021 09:19

@Catflapkitkat it was a bit tough as there was lots of flashing forward and then back however for us it was totally worth sticking it out.

AnneLovesGilbert · 01/02/2021 14:09

People needing a similar fix to fill the Murder hole, I definitely recommend Scandal. There’s even a Murder/Scandal crossover episode later into it! Just checked and it’s on Prime.

OP posts:
PetuniaClark · 01/02/2021 19:17

No Prime here 😩😩😩

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 10/02/2021 22:29

Just finished it also. Don't like picking holes but wonder why Bonnie and Frank, who were in sure in the FBI board, weren't called to court? What was Michaela doing during funeral, becoming a judge? I didn't feel a bit sorry for her, she was quite heartless about testifying against AK and got the better deal etc. Oliver so lovely. Poor Bonnie. Glad for Nate, thought it was a pity they had that horrible scene having been so close.
