Just binge watched this series. Brilliant! Really original idea... (except for the town hall meeting bit in ep 6 - bit too American?!)

Lived the humour, the parents’ storyline, the relationship with the neighbour.

What did anyone else think?

I want to watch more stuff like this... I’ve seen Fleabag. What else is there? I have Amazon and Netflix.

Yes, it is very good. I think I watched it a couple of years ago when it was on regular telly.

DistractingMyself · 13/01/2021 21:27

It’s trending as #1 series on Netflix at the moment... Would far rather watch something clever like this than well lots of other crap that’s on!

I thought it had a promising start, the story line with the mother and the boyfriend was a bit ugh, however I thought the ending was terrible. I could just about ignore some of the unrealistic aspects of the plot, but the ending was just a step too far.

Daisy Haggard is fantastic, I love her. We watched this a couple of years back when it was on the BBC. I’m glad Netflix picked it up. It deserves to be better known.

Dark and funny, and an original idea.

Agree! Not enough stuff if this calibre around!

I loved this. Just binged it when working late one night at my desk. I can't believe I missed it. Was it on BBC?

I thought it was so well written and just drew me in. Just loved the main character immediately as she cut her fringe too high. Funny and heartbreaking.

Would love another series to see how she is.

I just watched the first two episodes and I'm loving it so far.
I thought Daisy Haggard was hilarious in Episodes. I actually thought she was American until recently. Tamsin Greig was also very good in Episodes so I'm going to watch Friday Night Dinners next.

Breeders also with Daisy, I know it was on Sky originally, not sure if you can watch it anywhere else
Marcella with Roisin Conaty
Back - Mitchell and Webb, 2 seasons, both on channel 4 / All4 iPlayer thingy
Camping by Julia Davis - think it’s on Prime now
This way up by Aisling Bea, also All4
Motherland is funny, though diff humour, lots more light hearted than Back to life
Pandemonium - one off episode,
not a series, on BBC iPlayer
