Surely he is still on license and going near Denise would mean he had to complete the rest of his sentence in prison?

Denise would have to tell the police and she won't I suppose. Although he surely has a probation officer who checks up where he is though I suppose Chelsea will lie and say he is living with her?
But why ISN'T he living with Chelsea? Presumably he won't because he thinks he is attracting danger to her and Chelsea wants to keep him where she can keep an eye on him?

Then again, the Watford police allowed Kush to barter his way into prison so he could serve Phil's prison time. I sometimes wonder if teens write this stuff.

I can only hope Whitney has done the Freedom Programme which is always advised on here, or had some other counselling, and that we will be shocked to see her spot the red flags a mile off.

Aww man this episode has ruined my recent Eastenders immersion!! All because of bastard Lucas.

As a life sentenced prisoner he would not be living on the streets. There is a licence condition stating he must reside as approved. If he was homeless he'd be put in a probation hostel or recalled.

On the same point, Probation would never approve him to reside in a victims home. I can't remember that far back as to whether he was convicted for what he did to her (which would have a bearing as to whether she's in the victim contact scheme) but either way there'd be a non-contact licence condition regarding direct and indirect contact, so even Chelsea passing messages on would be enough to get him recalled.

Pisses me off, I'd have advised them for free to get the storyline right.

I’m trying to think back years, why did he kill people and try to kill Dee? Was it just some sort manic episode where he thought he was God? Or just “evil”? Mind you this is Eastenders, every 3 person has thought about, or had murdered someone!

Apparently Lucas got life imprisonment ten years ago. I had to refresh my memory on this but he made an appearance in 2016 on the programme, having escaped from prison! And was recaptured. So he'd surely not have been let out on the world's slackest licence just 4 and a half years later, would he?

Surely if you escape from prison and are caught your sentence is increased or you a TV least do the full term. They are taking the puss with this story line it’s pathetic.

Lucas would have had time added on, and been refused first-time parole / early release on licence, wouldn't he? Given he was already in for life imprisonment for, you know, being a murderer.
