Sharon's face when she said she loved Ian reminded me of the acting in Acorn Antiques.

Even though the storylines are a bit silly and there's so many threads I'm enjoying it now, I gave up watching when that Irish gangster was in it, and all that Whelan stuff.

I don't watch EE regularly, but tuned in tonight and was surprised to see how young Gillian Taylforth looks - she doesn't seem to have aged much, over the many years that she has played Ian Beale's mother. She's probably had a lot of work done, but it's subtle.

In real life Adam Woodyat is 52, GT is 65... was the original storyline that she had him as a young teenager? Years ago the casting seemed OK, but now she just looks too young to be his mother.

That bloke, Max... how come his character always ends up punching way above his weight, partner-wise? Likewise Phil Mitchell... in real life they'd not stand a chance with the younger, attractive women they've been partnered with in EE. The casting is very odd in EE. Ah well, as a distraction from lockdown it will do, now and then.

Kathy does look fab I agree. Ian really is a shadow of his former self.
I know his a character we don't like much , but he he is acting his socks off here I think! Really quite believable.

For once I felt very sorry for him in the scene where Max took him to the doctor. Feeling dreadful physically + residual guilt re Denny + realisation that Sharon is as far from a loving bride as she could possibly be + Max being witness to his situation. Quite the burden.

Me too! His always carried a torch for Sharon. It is sad especially as he did try to save her son.
