I know!! Piers morgan (I think that it was him) was good

jane313 · 26/10/2004 11:57

Well my two both loved the 'bright lights of Starbucks'!!!

I think anyone who decided not to go out in order to give their baby 'a secure start in life' for FIVE MONTHS would feel a little bored wouldn't they?

jane313 · 26/10/2004 12:03

Didn't she write something really crap?

joanneg · 26/10/2004 12:04

I think that she did an article in the daily mail last week, followupinterview

I know it was that Princess in love about Diana

Skate · 26/10/2004 12:17

Oh the woman is an arse!

Why do people expect life to be a bed of roses 24 hours a day, 7 days a week??

Life is hard, babies are hard work.

One thing they are not is boring!!!

JoolsToo · 26/10/2004 12:19

Skate I agree - I could spend AGES just looking at my little darlings ASLEEP and not be bored by them.

I'll grant it gets a bit trying when they're a bit older and they want to play trains all day - you have to have a bit of a break from that

Glad to hear Ms Pasternak won't be having any more!

joanneg - thanks for the link - what she says is true but I wonder from this comment -

"I had always considered babies menaces and children irrational, needy, demanding and narcissistic "

why she got pregnant in the first place?

Poor Daisy - glad my mother never wrote anything like that about my baby days.

CountessDracula · 26/10/2004 12:55

"I truly believe that as a mother your first duty should be to yourself"

Ahem.

I agree that you need to make time for yourself, but surely if you have a brought a little baby into the world your first duty is to the poor baby.

I must confess that I was not as riveted by dd when she was a little baby as I thought I would be, the older she gets the more fascinating I find her, but I always loved her more than anything. Now she is 2 I am really wishing it would all slow down and feeling v broody for a second. I agree, if she hated kids then why have one?

prufrock · 26/10/2004 13:01

I think babies are boring - but not quite as boring as Anna Pasternak.
I'm with CD - every day my dd (2.6) gets more and more lovable and exciting and I actually enjoy spending time with her. Ds (6 months tomorrow) is still boring. Gorgeous, cuddly, huggable, but boring. There are only so many rasberies you can blow on even the chubbiest belly

JoolsToo · 26/10/2004 13:05

Prufrock agree but little babies sleep half the day so there's plenty of time to yourself (if you only have one!) so I don't see how they can be boring. Some women aren't cut out for motherhood - she's obviously one of them!
