Sorry, couldn't think of a catchy title in the emergency of needing a new thread!

OP posts:

Sausage's main clue was 2 pints of lager and a packet of crisps.

Previous episode she was at the seaside/pier - Gavin & Stacey, Barry Island?

She was stood by a burger van with 'Billie's Burgers' - new baby called Billy.

Cracking voice so could well be Sheridan.

JaquelineBeanstalk · 10/01/2021 06:25

Isn’t it repeated some time on Sunday? I missed a few bits last night

Theromanempire · 10/01/2021 09:06

I am absolutely convinced that Robin is Aston Merrygold now with the Rockin Robin link and the fact he played football for England whilst at school. Also, I've just remembered that when he was on Strictly, his best dance (and the one he is remembered for) and one that was named in the top 30 iconic Strictly dance countdown was dressed as a troll dancing to Can't Stop The Feeling - which he sung in the first show.

Onlinedilema · 10/01/2021 09:16

I've seen Tim Minchin live and yes he can sing, I don't recognise badgers voice though. Why all the references to motorbikes? That's why dh suggested James Towesland.
Dd thinks Robin is more of a dancer than a footballer so Aston Merrigold would fit. I'm enjoying the difficulty of the clues if I'm honest.

Theromanempire · 10/01/2021 09:27

online interestingly James Toseland's wiki page states he has a rock band and is the lead vocalist and his early life was focused on music so he (presumably) can sing.

My only thoughts on that are that as hardly anyone knows what he looks like (I wouldn't know him if i fell over him), the reveal would be a bit shit as nobody would recognise him. I know that was one of the clues but I thought the implication was it is somebody who is now recognisable but perhaps wasn't at one point.

Piggywaspushed · 10/01/2021 09:40

Oh,I mentioned him last week. He is terribly goodlooking!!

Piggywaspushed · 10/01/2021 09:41

JT is a very god musician , classically trained and has a band and was married to Katie Melua.

I thought it was him last week, didn't think so last night after more clues.

derxa · 10/01/2021 09:51

I love this show so much. Even Rita Ora isn't annoying me.

KimKsButt · 10/01/2021 10:48

Oo just looked up Toseland, could be him but Badger looks bigger built. Found this on youtube but I’m to e deaf so find it hard to compare

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 10/01/2021 13:16

When was this filmed? Didn't Sheridan Smith only have a baby this summer? It seems quite a gruelling show to do if you have a small baby.

We thought the robin might be somebody who was on Socceraid.

@MrsDoctorDear

Re the Billie clues the board also said Because We Want To at the bottom of the menu. But also said Red Herring on the menu. Which got me thinking about DR Who. Sheridan was the Dr's assistant in the BBC Radio plays.

Our other guesses:
Badger - Foggy, Charley Boorman (the legs were very bendy) and Sid Owen

Blob - 100% Lenny Henry

Quartz2208 · 10/01/2021 14:15

She had her baby in May - she must have been filming pooch perfect though at a similar time

Pootle40 · 10/01/2021 20:01

Placemarking

Pootle40 · 10/01/2021 20:10

I am convinced badger is Ne-Yo. It sounds very like him and he is a fab singer. I think the English accent is fake. Here's why:-

  • first week he sang 'Feeling Good', Ne-Yo has a song called 'I feel good'
  • he said he could 'walk down the road unrecognised'. I think he is referring to the yellow brick road when he played the Tin Man in a tv show called 'Wiz'
  • also explains the cork/Oz hat aka 'Wizard of Oz'

I think Bushbaby is Brian Conley. Good singer, does magic tricks, was in I'm a celeb so the Aussie connection.

Pootle40 · 10/01/2021 20:13

Despite all the clues saying otherwise I think Sausage is Beverly knight.

The following I am 100% sure of-Robin is Aston merrygold, Blob is Lenny Henry, Viking is morten harket.

hiccupgate · 10/01/2021 20:30

I was convinced that the sausage is Sheridan Smith, but would they make it that obvious? I think there might be a bit of misdirection going on!

Soubriquet · 10/01/2021 20:31

I watch it on ITVhub
PolloDePrimavera · 10/01/2021 20:33

Another one thinking Dragon is Michelle Visage. If you just listen to her dinging, every now and then it sounds like her voice. Plus when speaking in the VTs, she has an NY accent.

Katjolo · 10/01/2021 20:50

Sausage may be Alexandra Burke 🤔

APJ1 · 10/01/2021 23:21

The following I am 100% sure of-Robin is Aston merrygold, Blob is Lenny Henry, Viking is morten harket.

I don't remember the clues for Blob but yes, 100% Aston and Morten.

APJ1 · 10/01/2021 23:22

Oops, forgot to put the quote in bold.

SpanishFly · 11/01/2021 00:05

Can I also say that when they did the two lies and a truth, the lies are deliberately trying to make us think it's someone else, I.e. it's not just an untruth.
Eg the badger clues. They know that the panel have said that it could be Carl Fogarty or Jay Kay, and two of the clues were the he wears green and that he wears masks.
Similarly with the clues, they could apply to a few people. Eg the Viking gave clues that he could be Si King, Morten or whatshisname from GoT

Pootle40 · 11/01/2021 07:40

In Badger's VT there was a tin oil can just like the tin man from wizard of oz. it's Ne-Yo for sure. In the periodic table 'Ne' and 'Tin' were circled.

Oh I LOVE it. Many points for you if that's correct 👍
NonCisWoman · 11/01/2021 17:20

I have to say, they are all good singers
