I was sure this was Gabrielle but the clues point to an author, maybe songwriting?

For Harlequin me and DH think Gabrielle or Macy Grey.

Sounds a bit like Mackey Grey?

Voice def sounds like Gabrielle but no idea how clues would fit

I thought it sounded like Gabrielle, but the clues don't fit at all.

Am now thinking it's a bit too flat for Gabrielle, maybe?
