I'm stupidly excited!

Noticed it said red herring alongside Billie's chip shop and Because We Want To, so I suspect not Billie Piper. Not sure who though.

Also thought Darcey for swan.

Also could badger be the Badly Drawn Boy? He's busked on the street before and nobody recognised him (I remember reading about it at the time).

DH and I are mid 30s and last season was definitely all people we knew, but some might be less familiar to people a lot older or younger (e.g. Justin Hawkins). Wonder if it's the same this year or if they're trying to broaden appeal.

I think they said there were 12 singerssaltogether and we saw six this week so I guess the other half show up next week.

They could have got bigger names this year as so many performers won't have had anything else to do.

Looking at it JLS sang flying without wings at the X factor so that one would make sense

I think I sausage is Emily Atack. I don't have any suggestions from the clues to back this up, I just think the mannerisms and the voice are right

Sausage - Stacey Solomon (although on a whim I would say miley Cyrus)
Dragon - ok I'm stumped so on a whim I'm going....Deborah Meaden

I guessed SEB when I saw the recap as I didn't see the whole programme. I think Swan is Carol Vorderman. She's done Strictly in the past. The American accent was put on and that's not a professional singer.

If it's not Carol V then it could possibly be Shirley Ballas as she's been on TV every day this Christmas so far - Strictly, Miranda's games night, Sewing Bee.

The best/worst one has to be the Duck (Skunk Anansie singer Skin) saying "I used to be a long-distance runner". It turned out to mean she did long-distance running at school!

Yes to Courtney Act.. I did think that but the voice sounding like an older woman threw me off. Had Courtney been in the U.K. this year?

She was in an ITV2 karaoke show which aired recently, hence the singing voice (albet now deepened and with that fake American accent) is still fresh in my mind.

Courtney act lives in the U.K. I think she also has places in Australia and LA but most on Instagram seems to spend lost of the time in the U.K.

I want the clues to be tenuous. I enjoy unsolvable puzzles. I don't want people to instantly know who the masked singer is. Guess that's why I watch Only Connect, although I keep thinking g why do I watch this quiz, it just makes me feel thick.

Swan is 100% Kimberly Wyatt. She was a ballet dancer (swan costume) and the royalty clues refer to her forming another group after PCD (Her Majesty & The Wolves)

@emilybrontescorsett love Only Connect! I can occasionally get a connection, do ok on the walls if we pause them and have a lot longer than the teams, and not too bad at missing vowels. Lots of specials on this week

prettygirl I can do the missing vowels round and often get one or two of the wall clues right. It's rare I do very well though. Dh fairs better as he can often come up with the fourth answer in the sequence though Lord knows how, he just knows random stuff. It is a very hard quiz though.

Yes random stuff can definitely help with Only Connect - DS got one the other day (he is 8) because it was a Smash Bros sequence. he got the 4th after 2. Simply because he knew!

I agree though the clues are often like Only Connect some are visual (so with SEB the mannequin and dress from a video) others are a bit more cryptic - crime scene for murder on the dancefloor and the others can be obscure - her appearing in Game of Thrones.

Which is why I agree Flying without wings is JLS not westlife for example.

What were Badger clues thinking maybe a DJ for that one might fit?

Did anyone know she was in Game of Thrones? DH recognised album title and then being pretty sure it was her, we thought battle was the one with Victoria Beckham for Number 1.

I think Robin is someone from JLS, I only know Astons name..
Dragon Courtney Act or Michelle Visage? Same guesses for Swan I think!
Sausage Paloma Faith or Stacey Solomon. Quite like the Billie suggestion but don't think it's her.

Don’t have a clue about the others though and didn’t guess Sophie Ellis Bexter at all despite seeing many saying it was really obvious.

i'd go for a band member thats not the front guy, or a radio dj for Badger.
