The gaslighting from Sam and Mike was bad but at the same time why would you even try to talk to them about their behaviour, you're not going to get a genuine apology and they're not going to suddenly change from being arseholes so just why bother?

Lizzie would have played it better just being polite and distant to Sam and showing no interest at all.
