I thought it was great too. Watched it with my teens who even put their devices away and were giggling like crazy. Not convinced about the whole environment speech at the end though.

It's not as good without Lisa Tarbuck.

I really enjoyed it but DP thought it was a bit too close for comfort & that it was just a long Ben Elton rant.

I laughed a lot though.

Excellent as always.

David Mitchell as a cynical William Shakespeare trying to write one play or another and taking inspiration from life around him. Lots of parallels to modern day.

This episode was plague lockdown & the Scottish play.

Very Ben Elton ‘bit of politics’ - could’ve been a bit more subtle.

We normally love Upstart Crow but somehow we just didn't enjoy this episode as much as the others. Maybe my sense of humour went missing last night.I laughed a bit at the start but that was it.

I've just watched it having seen this thread pop up (I knew there was a Christmas one but didn't know when).

'Plaguey Beak' sounds far better than mask.

It was clever and properly funny wasn't it. I need more suggestions like it!

It really helps to feel.part of somethig "we've all been through." When its in comedy.
