I have loved this and have laughed so much. I was shocked I sobbed my way through the last episode. It just felt so full of love!

I cried all the way through the wrap programme too! I also loved the way Johnny and Moira fell in love again - or perhaps for the first time?

I'd say definitely again - they always loved each other no question!

missbipolar · 19/12/2020 20:23

I couldn't stop crying when Alexis and Ted broke up!!

SapatSea · 19/12/2020 21:01

I think I watched a different show. I quite liked the first few series but hated the mayor character. Moira was a laugh but once the schmaltz with David and Alexis and their partners really started in Series 3. I started to feel bored with it. Finished it as watching with family member but just get what all the hype is about. When the boyfriend snag Simply the Best in the apothercary shop was when I felt it turned.

Nospringchickendipper · 20/12/2020 13:06

I have watched this series then watched the documentary about the making of it then rewatched it again Loved loved this series.
I thought Patrick singing Simply the best to David was one of the most romantic moments on tv.
I recommend Schitts Creek to everyone.

AdditionalCharacter · 20/12/2020 16:45

Oh I loved when Patrick sang to David, and then when David mimed it to Patrick with that dance.

I'm attempting to revive this thread because I've just finished watching series 6 ( started the whole thing about 2 months ago) and the wrap up documentary and am feeling very tearful but also my cockles have not been just warmed but ROASTED. That was just the bowl full of comfort I needed! Wonderful show.

I agree that it took quite a while to get into though, I nearly didn't finish S1 but then realised that all my other choices weren't quite hitting the mark so there was something there pulling me back in. The last 2-3 seasons were sublime.

cushioncovers · 10/01/2021 21:25

Loved this show. Tried when I watched the last episode

HermioneWeasley · 11/01/2021 12:42

I might have had something in my eye

I’ve told my son I am replicating Moira’s entire wedding/Pope outfit if he ever gets married.

MrDarcysMa · 11/01/2021 13:56

Most of the last season yes. It's so heartwarming and funny. Haven't been affected by a tv show like that for years.

EachandEveryone · 20/01/2021 15:01

Me too. Ive just finished it and ive only just stopped crying in time to watch Biden being sworn in. Then im off back to watch the documentary. Its just so warm to watch and unoffensive. I dont know anything about them really but David is the double of his real dad. Handsome fella.

Bythemillpond · 20/01/2021 15:08

Anyone else not realise Moira is the same actress who played the mother in the Home Alone movies

Googled what else she had been in and was suddenly gobsmacked it was the same actress

tellmewhentheLangshiplandscoz · 20/01/2021 15:26

I've found my people!

Aww, this really is one of the loveliest things I've ever watched and yes, like you OP I had a bit of a weep.

Moria. She is just amazing. I love her. A superb character.

The documentary is good, you can feel the genuine love the cast and crew had for it. Agree with a pp that the ending was perfect as everyone was where they needed to be.

When Moria gets pissed at the wine tasting! GrinGrin

EachandEveryone · 20/01/2021 16:31

Do you think they will come back and do a Christmas special?

tellmewhentheLangshiplandscoz · 20/01/2021 17:22

@EachandEveryone

Do you think they will come back and do a Christmas special?
My worry with that Each is it will either be spectacularly excellent or awful and could spoil it forever Grin
DanielODonkey · 21/01/2021 18:58

I love Moira Rose.

I love the whole programme and need to watch it again.

MaddieElla · 23/01/2021 17:47

I’ve never laughed and cried at the same time before, but I did at the last episode and the wedding. The look David gives his mum, so funny.

I didn’t realise until I went stalking afterwards that David is Johnny’s son in real life and Twyla is his daughter. Smile

Such a heartwarming show.

EachandEveryone · 23/01/2021 23:23

I just wish it pulled you in right from the beginning. Ive recommended it to so many people but theyve all given up after episode three 😒

ComDummings · 23/01/2021 23:29

I cried when it finished too. I love Moira! ‘Oh I’d kill for a good coma right now’

60schild · 25/01/2021 22:44

When I recommend it I emphasise they need to watch until at least episode three and for them to trust me Smile

I am only on series 2 but am hooked!!

cathyandclare · 31/01/2021 23:01

I'm going through it all for the second time. Love everyone. I just fight with myself about whether I prefer Moira, David, Alexis or Johnny. Genius TV.

Robingtonbyford · 01/02/2021 08:56

Cried so much. My life is empty now I've finished it. Miss my Schitts Creek new best friends so much.

fluffyugg · 12/02/2021 23:38

Just finished the last season so went looking for a thread...just a wonderful, warm programme. Absolutely one of the best things I've ever watched. Feel teary just thinking about it. They characters were all so brilliant. Might need to go back and start it again!

EnjoyingTheSilence · 12/02/2021 23:53

Best show I a very long time. We started watching it lockdown 1 and told so many people to watch it but they gave up. Went back to it as they’d watched everything g else and as pp said, once they got past episode 3 they were hooked.

I think they now need to make The Crows Have Eyes III caw-caw!
