How many times will Santosh make us cry?

Tomorrow one and all

Sunbird24 · 16/12/2020 21:58

Merry Christmas @TheDogsMother!

ThatIsNotMyUsername · 16/12/2020 21:59

Aw crap - I’ve got a sodding AGM zoom tomorrow. Can I watch this on the side...? 🤔

TheDogsMother · 16/12/2020 21:59

Ohwhat. Definitely !

JazzyGeoff · 16/12/2020 21:59

This will springboard Philli into a fabulous career I think. Talented woman, just needs a bit more experience.

I've enjoyed your company TheDogs , thanks for the laughs. Have a good Christmas & see you back next time Smile

Sunbird24 · 16/12/2020 21:59

Could you have a ‘wifi problem’? Wink

viques · 16/12/2020 22:00

Philli should be so proud of herself, the food she cooks is amazing. She has a real passion and is creative and innovative.

GrouchyKiwi · 16/12/2020 22:00

@JayAlfredPrufrock

Has a woman ever won Professional Masterchef?
One of the earlier series was one by Claire someone. I feel like there has been one more woman, more recently, but I can't remember.

Chef Wong and santosh. Awesome.

Thanks for great chat

topcat2014 · 16/12/2020 22:01

I like the guy from Nepal because he is wearing a chef's hat..

GrouchyKiwi · 16/12/2020 22:01

Agree re Philli. I don't think development chefs usually get this far, though maybe the Covid format worked in her favour there since she didn't have to do a dinner service.

Sad to see Phili to go, very happy with who is in the final. Santosh to win for me (which now I've said that, means he now won't, sorry!)

Madcats · 16/12/2020 22:02

@ThatIsNotMyUsername. The key is to have a phone or iPad on a table to your right if you are right handed (where you would normally have papers) and keep yourself on mute unless you need to speak.

Not so helpful if you are leading the AGM, but if you just need to second a few things....

GrouchyKiwi · 16/12/2020 22:02

Ah, not that recent, and she had to share.

Not leading thankfully but I have been sent in to kick some backsides.

Well I suppose me peering off into the wrong direction and some involuntarily ‘nooooooo’ ‘Oooooooo’ ‘what is he thinking?????’ and ‘For fuck sake!’s will scare the beejezus out of them.

longtompot · 16/12/2020 22:06

List of previous winners. I remember being annoyed the year two people won

Bart looks like a very odd amalgamation of Frank Skinner and John Bishop.

I adore Santosh and really hope he wins. He's very tall for a Nepali. I used to regularly attend NDA UK events and at 5'5" I was one of the tallest people there. Seriously beautiful people, inside and out.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 16/12/2020 22:21

Thank you for the thread (even though I lost track of time and missed the programme)

BigFatLiar · 16/12/2020 23:12

I think Phili had the tough course at the table. In the warm weather doing a dessert must be difficult. They ought to have an air con room for doing the desserts so they don't get too troubled by the heat.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 17/12/2020 10:09

I suppose though in a busy kitchen they wouldn't have the luxury of air con, though Liar.

I think she did very well pulling herself back so well from that hideous moment that she accidentally called Gregggg "chef" - she probably wished that the floor would swallow her up!

BigFatLiar · 17/12/2020 10:15

There have been a number of programs on where they've shown places like hotels kitchens where they have a cold separate area for pastry work. I'd have thought in a studio set up for a cooking competition it wouldn't have been too much of an issue. Even an area out by the chillers, just somewhere away from the heat.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 17/12/2020 10:19

Oh - I hadn't seen anything like that. Then I agree with you - a cooler area would be kinder to the chefs.

It's like on Bake Off when they give them 7 minutes to make a sorbet in 90 degree temperatures.

Drives me crackers!
