It's about to finish but I'm sitting watching this with tears streaming down my face.
Baby girls aborted despite it being illegal, baby girls abandoned. One baby girl, premature and only hours old, was taken by her grandmother to an orphanage but she developed breathing difficulties and died in the clinic they took her to.
The ratio of women to men is all out of kilter which, somehow, is just making women's lives even worse and convincing more mothers to abort female foetuses because of the hard life they think their daughters would lead.
At least at the end we seem to have a mother who is so besotted with her new baby girl that she's changed her mind about giving her up to the orphanage.
