Is anybody watching this? It launched on Amazon this week I am really enjoying it after initially thinking it was aimed at a younger audience. Now on episode 7....Great series to watch with older children and Rachel Griffiths is in it - I have admired her ever since Six Feet Under.

I can't quite work out what it is about from the trailer.

VicMackey · 15/12/2020 19:56

It’s a very elaborate social experiment - but I can’t give it away as it is full of surprises. I thought from the trailer and synopsis like a bear grylls reality show but it’s a drama
There is a back story for the characters in each episode and the plot thickens
Sorry I am not very good at describing things but it is really good.

I'm watching and enjoying it, 4eps in I think. I can't stand not knowing things so I have googled ahead of time so I know how it ends. Doesn't ruin it for me, just means I know which clues to look out for! One thing I don't know yet, is are those 2 police men genuine, or are they from the organisation running the experiment? The girls all seem to still be away from their families but look fresh off the island. And Rachel's hand, whatever happened looks to be too well healed to have happened very recently so I'm confused as to time line. The last episode is called day 23 but losing a hand wouldn't look like that after 3 weeks even if you'd had it amputated in hospital surely?

They aren’t policemen.....and the actual the ending is very very frustrating hope we don’t have to wait months for next series ....have you got there yet ?

@VicMackey no, I'm up to the one with Fatin's story, the body has just been recovered from the beach. Hoping to get through a couple more tomorrow!

Theredjellybean · 20/12/2020 21:32

Me and dsd are loving it... Got one episode to go.
Its sort of "what would lord of the flies have been like with girls"

Pipandmum · 20/12/2020 21:32

It had mixed reviews but I might watch it with my daughter as you seem to enjoy it.

ChristmasPerfectionist · 27/12/2020 23:49

Thoroughly thoroughly enjoyed it but the ending AngryAngryAngry

Brighterthansunflowers · 30/12/2020 00:30

I absolutely loved it, binged it over two days and was completely gripped and very invested.

I find that kind of thing interesting anyway. But the situation, the characters And the stories really got me hooked. The ending was a bit infuriating though! Can’t wait for a second season but worried it won’t live up to the first

bloodyhairy · 01/01/2021 23:23

I watched the first couple of episodes, and it does seem good, but I couldn't get on with all the jumping back and forth in time!

I haven't starter it yet but that's what I was expecting from the trailer.
trevorandsimon · 01/01/2021 23:28

What age range is it suitable for?

ChristmasPerfectionist · 02/01/2021 00:08

@trevorandsimon I’m not sure but there’s references to sex and there’s some alcohol use too.
