Stranger Things, Friday Night Lights, The Queen’s Gambit, His Dark Materials... What next to watch with 14 year old son?

We have watched all the above series and loved them, but where do we go from here? I am watching with my 14 year old son. He doesn’t want anything too adult, so not too much romance or violence etc. Preferably a good story about realistic characters.

We have Netflix and Amazon Prime. I have been Googling endlessly and getting nowhere.

We’d be very grateful for some recommendations!

It is badged 15 but we have been happy to watch with ds14 & ds12. Watch the original karate kid first .

Voltron! It's as good as I remember the 80s version being (which isn't good, in case you're wondering). We watch it as a family, though my children are a lot younger than 14, and DH and I love it.

The Mandalorian, if you have Disney+.

I loved Friday Night Lights so much.
