So far we've watched Scream and Slasher on Netflix and Harper's Island (BBC). I'm considering watching Persons Unknown on Netflix. Any other similar series worth (binge) watching?!

Loved Harper's Island - particularly the chapter titles.
Persons Unknown is quite interesting.
Not many slasher recommendations - more thriller/supernatural, but you could try the first seasons of Stranger Things and American Horror Story.
Channel Zero Season 2: No-End House is worth a watch but i think is only on Amazon Prime

Have you watched American Horror Story? I stopped watching after about the 5th or 6th season, but loved the early ones.

I'd also recommend Scream Queens too.

Going back a bit, but I'd also recommend True Blood if you haven't watched it before, again the first season was amazing but went downhill a bit from about the third.

Ooh...lots of good suggestions. Definitely going to try American Horror Story and Scream Queens.

I liked Harper's Island but feel it lost it's way after John Wakefield appeared. It was suspenseful and great to watch before that. There was a scene where the killer (John Wakefield) was fighting a man in the bar. One of the onlookers had a gun but acted scared! She didn't help at all. It just didn't make sense!

American Horror Story
Pretty Little Liars
The Perfectionists

Some of the American Horror Story series are fab. If you can get, the most recent one (8 I think) was a proper 80s slasher featuring a lakeside camp and 'Jason' character, and Richard Ramirez. I loved it. Can't think of any more series other than those already mentioned though.

Have you watched The Fall? We binged all of that quite quickly and enjoyed it.

Also Hannibal the series is worth watching if you haven't seen it.

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/12/2020 12:27

Never heard of Harpers Island... watching now!

Redannie118 · 16/12/2020 14:19

The Fall is brilliant and very very scary !
The Alienst on Netflix, very Jack the Ripper style historical serial killer. Each episode is like a mini movie and the cast is stellar including Luke Evans and Dakota Fanning
Castle Rock on Prime- set entirely in the Stephen King multiverse, lots of names and faces you will know and an absolute must if you are a King fan.

youngestisapsycho · 16/12/2020 14:33

The Alienist is fab!

TinyCheese · 20/12/2020 14:02

Marianne - a French horror on Netflix. Quite unpleasant to watch if you're after this kind of experience...

VicMackey · 20/12/2020 14:05

Fantasy Island has just been remade as a horror on Sky Movies (but it’s a movie not a series)

Hannibal. It's amazing. Hannibal (the Cannibal)as a Psychiatrist, is asked to help find the serial killer ,which is him. Cue endless twists & turns & mental duel with his nemesis, the empath, Will. Visually stunning, fantastically clever & v gory. Cult following on You Tube if you want a 2min flavour of it: lots of fans have set key bits to music that are as god if not better than the official trailers: 'Glitter & Gold' is my favourite. Wentworth Prison is also good for the plots & iconic female villain : Governor Joan Ferguson, "The Freak". (Also cult following on YT).
