Rewatching this....can't believe its 14 years old.

They look terrible, behave terribly and it is almost unwatchable at times but it was so original (and at times, very, very funny).

This is long before Fleabag etc. and makes me realise how male dominated comedy was (and probably still is).

I can imagine male tv producers probably didn't want women on tv looking or behaving like this. Better to airbrush them and make them look glossily good.

Can believe it's back! Will watch tonight

Ooooh is it on iPlayer? I have been waiting for this to happen for ages, ever since my DVD warped. Thanks for the tip.

I agree, it was hilarious. They are all awful. Especially Louise’s mother. I was crushed when it was cancelled. Not that it harmed Sharon Horgan’s career!

They are all so fundamentally unlikeable and yet you still end up feeling sorry for them.

Yes. Loving it

Can’t beleive I didn’t watch it originally

Thanks OP for flagging that it’s on iPlayer. Two days of hard spreadsheeting have been livened up no end by having Pulling on in the background. Just watching the episode where Louise’s mother goes out dancing with them. “Oh no, not the never ending pint!”

I think Karen and Louise are slightly caricaturish, but Donna is such a real character. Everyone knows someone exactly like her - pretentious, awkwad, completely self-absorbed and lacking in self awareness, but you can't help but like her. I love when she described herself as a 'marketing manager' when she was basically a receptionist!

Exactly!

It's brilliant, so pleased it's on iPlayer.

Paul Kaye and Karen together still creases me up. It’s so awful and there’s a really dark element to the addiction but they both play it out beautifully.

Me too they are sooo good. They are like a male female version of each other. Tanya Franks plays wasted better than anyone I think.
