Taskmaster - best ever task

It has to be the tying yourself up task in series 7. Just a brilliantly evil task and Rhod Gilbert has the best solution.

My favourite has been watching Frank Skinner collect a group of mens’ tears with a teaspoon and popping them in an egg cup.

They’re all standing around sniffing onions and thinking sad thoughts and Frank is hovering with his teaspoon ready to collect! It’s so surreal!

I love the really creative ones, like making the best film backwards. I also sing David Baddiel's song along with the theme.

God, yes

She was brilliant, wasn't she. It's amazing how the personality of the contestant comes out. Sally Phillips I presume (now) is totally bonkers. Kerry Godliman with her 'bish bosh done' approach. James Acaster refusing to say hello because it wasn't in the task.

I really struggled to get on with the series 8 people because we'd watched series 9 first then back to 1 and the contestants all seemed stronger and funnier but by the end I was willing Joe to win.

I just remembered, that Scottish presenter for CBeebies, with his Mentos and Coke volcano that never erupted

Richard osmond and the balls on the mat on the hill is another good one.

Not necessarily for the task itself but "bubbly fuck" is now used quite often in our house after the first ask where they had to get the candle from the house to the caravan and there was a bubble machine in the hallway that Nish Kumar got done by!

I normally love the quite simple ones:
The three exercise balls up a hill (Katherine and Richard 😂)
Work out what this switch does
Throw a teabag in the mug
Nursery rhyme music videos

But my probable favourite was the team task where they had to get to 11 point the fastest but with no idea how they gained or lost points. 😂😂

When they had to build an extension and James lost it at Rhod when he saw that Rhod had shut the garage door hiding all the building materials.

I cry every time!

The group task where they have to throw flour at a target from the bandstand, which descends into chaos, they end up throwing a trestle table off the bandstand for no discernible reason and Noel fucks with the timer.

Oh and serenade yourself task, Ed and Rose were brilliant!

I've just remembered the one where they had to guess the pie fillings and Frank Skinner put steak for nearly all of them except the one with steak in. And he couldn't get the toothpaste pie even when he opened it up and guessed mint tippex pie

The pie filling one! That was the task that really hooked me. It had been fairly entertaining up to that point, but watching Frank Skinner guess completely reasonable pie fillings based on the appearance, only for the correct answers to be so ridiculous was brilliant. Hot toothpaste, marbles, and a tiny picture of Greg/Alex 😂😂😂

So many tasks I love, but the one I laughed at the most was Ed Gamble and his mermaid fountain. You feel equally bad for Alex and astounded at Eds evil genius.

I couldn't warm to Ed Gamble, I thought he was too competitive. Rose Matafeo should have won that series.

Probably the surprise Alex task was my favourite - Rob Beckett cackling with the water gun, and Al Murray with the gong.
