Surviving Covid

OMG this is heartbreaking. Four patients with covid, needing long term intensive care as Covid destroys their lungs, hearts, kidneys, lives, reduces them to shells of the people they once were.

It’s one thing to read about what a devastating disease it is, it’s another to watch . Should be compulsory viewing for covidiots.

It was horrific wasn’t it? For anyone who says “it’s just another flu” this is a proper wake up call - I know there are lots of people (my son being one) who have got off quite lightly but I was really shocked.

It was devastating to watch. The survivors all seemed to be very seriously and possibly permanently impaired (other than Joaquin possibly, who looked and sounded pretty good at the end, although he was clearly still very weak).
It was interesting that all the cases they covered were middle-aged men. I wondered if they’ve determined that this group is more affected by the long-term effects? (I don’t know if they said anything about this - my recorder missed a couple of minutes at the start).
