Intrigued by the many inheritance threads on AIBU lately, I was reading online about English & Scottish laws which make it very hard to disinherit your children - legitimate, illegitimate & adopted. Now watching a Nettles era Midsomer Murders & it's just been discovered at a postmortem that Lord X couldn't have possibly fathered children (blocked seminal ducts in case you are wondering- a very thorough PM!) BUT there are 2 acknowledged sons by different wives- who presumably weren't actually his biologically. So my question is- assuming a DNA test showed that they weren't his sons, would they be able to inherit anything if not explicitly named in his will? Obscure & meaningless question, but please tell me your thoughts!
