Doctors to Be - update programmes on BBC4

Don't know how many would remember the original 1984 series which followed trainee doctors from Medical School interviews to qualification and then intermittently since in practice. They are running a series of update programmes on some on BBC4 but programmes are not being consistently scheduled. This week's is on Thursday, repeated Friday. Interesting snapshots of how the NHS and medical technology has changed in the interim.

Not to mention hair cuts.
Enjoyed this programme. Can't remember the doctors name from this week but felt he well deserved his consultants position. He was quite cynical about NHS.

Can't believe they are putting it on BBC4! I don't get it and have watched this from the first programme. Anyone know if it is repeated on terrestrial?

Not yet Lubyloo. Think it is a little sad they have buried it in the schedules given some of the cr$p that gets a higher profile on terrestrial BBC. Political correctness gone ott I fear.
