I think Vernon will do well off the back of this, he used to be everywhere at one point. I think Jordan will too but I'm not sure he's tv presenter material like Vernon?

Yes I thought this, or even send one or two of them to do some wild camping or something.

Does anyone know the castle area, is it all cordoned off for a large area around it? The only thing I can think is they're avoiding outside for fear of drones or people with phones taking pictures etc..

I thought they'd have a bit more of a budget to spare with not flying them all out to Oz.. but maybe not.

I don't think they'll do Wales again next year if Australia is possible. It's been entertaining, but they're very limited in what they can do. No snake rock this year for instance, which mixes up the group and makes for more interesting individual relationships rather than one huge group dynamic. And I really enjoy seeing them at the Versace hotel when they get all glammed up again and are with their loved ones.

However, I'm so glad they managed to do a series this year. Some entertainment for us and some much needed work for those that work on the show and income for the castle and local area (I hope) as well.

I quite like the castle setting for a change but wish they could use the area a bit more

Maybe with everything going on they just didn’t have the time to prepare anything more, especially with the rules changing. Wales was in full lockdown only a few weeks ago, which can’t have helped. I’m sure some of the local outdoor activity places would have welcomed then, but Covid hindered that.

I do like the Welsh setting, and if they use the venue again, maybe will have a longer time to plan things better. Maybe Australia and Wales on alternate years?

I think it's nice to stay in the UK. Will Bring some tourists next year ( or whenever we can go out / vaccine etc)
They could use other places too.
Keep the money and publicity here for another year.

If they move it to Wales permanently, they would do better doing it in the summer. Can have them exposed to the elements more and longer daylight times for filming.

It wouldn’t be the same though would it I think everyone links it to this time of year in the run up to Christmas and something to watch in the evening when it gets dark early and there’s not much to do. But I agree I was surprised how much I’m enjoying it being in wales it makes a nice change and feels original.

Sorry if I've missed this, but has it been explained why they're cutting the whole thing short by 2 days?

I think that it's turned out to be a good thing to give Oz a miss for a season. It was becoming a bit stale. This has provided a nice change, but I think it's a shame they haven't got the Versace to look forward to at the end, and all the families meeting up together.

I'm glad that apart from that one trial girls vs boys, they've avoided pitting two factions against each other with a Snake Rock-style set-up. I'm also glad they haven't done the immunity trials. Over the years, that's meant that some "unpopular" people have ended up staying much longer than they otherwise would.

When Jordan was joking about being in panto last night I could actually imagine that.

One of my favourite moments from Family Fortunes was Vernon saying "name a type of pole", and the person just looking completely baffled. She just couldn't work out the Bolton accent, and of course he couldn't give her an example!

I can't see Vernon going back to mainstream presenting.
BBC and ITV have their new popular presenters for several years if your lucky then move onto the next lot.
Currently Rylan Clark and Alex Scott are everywhere.
And Gino has overtaken Family Fortunes.
Dont particularly like over exposing presenters. It's annoying.
I cant believe Rylan got bbc strictly and radio 2. But yeh it's just cos hes popular right now.
But may not be in 5 years.

I think I'm a celeb should have given a reason why they ditched the usual live Saturday shows in a press statement somewhere and also why a shorter run.
Even if they just said due to covid.
Dec just making jokes is bit weird as they know exactly why.

I mean the producers/presenters know the reason but havent bothered to tell the viewers.

Strictly imo has been way more entertaining with the shorter run and covid mess. I'm a celeb felt like somethings missing all the time.

I don’t mind the Saturday show to be honest. The extra footage of camp used to be included in extra camp or whatever it was called didn’t it? That used to be on afterwards but now they have the daily drop thing which I can’t imagine anyone watches
