Another non-show tomorrow, just the highlights again. Strange as you would think that Saturday night would be time to pull out all the stops!

Yeh I knew they wouldn't be live tomorrow night. Strange.

Yep 1st celeb out then no proper show to tomorrow.. lol

Poor Hollie. But someone has to go first and she wasn’t good telly.

I thought they said there were no highlights tomorrow, just the extra material that we haven't seen?

And not even an eviction tomorrow either.

So that leaves Sun-Thurs for all the rest of the evictions. 7 to go in 5 nights, leaving 4 in for the final.

Couple of doublers ahead I reckon.

Why are they doing a recap show on a Saturday? It doesn't make sense to me.

Unseen clips tomorrow. Night odd for Ant and Dec basically and the crew.
Very bizzare. Esp when it's a shorter series also.

Could it be something to do with UK working hours and laws? Maybe in order to fulfil the requirements of (essentially) round the clock filming/editing/scriptwritinf they have crazy work schedules and, by law, have to then give a rest day once per week?

LOVE ISLAND used to do highlight episode on Saturdays. It was often two days behind then catched up by Sunday.
I hate the fact they show 2 days worth of footage on the Sunday ep. Well 40 mins worth of episode.

I would assume the crew had been out of work for 6 months and would be happy for just ender 3 weeks work and doing shifts anyway.
My cynical opinion would be its cos they just dont want to do a live show every day. And would rather fill 2 days worth into 1 episode.

But it short changes the viewers.

The celebrities have definitely got a cushy deal this year - cosy living arrangements with no exposure to the elements or wildlife; blantantly being allowed to send messages to family and friends; quite tame trials (compared to previous years) - anyone remember Nicole Appleton having to steer a supermarket trolley along a thin wire about 1000 ft up? Plus a day off per week.

I have not watched a full series of all the past Australian ones but like this castle version. No major fall outs yet and looks like it will stay that way as it is only on for one more week until the winner announced.
If this hasn't been asked before, how do some of the women seem to have eye make up on? I get they could have extensions done before going in but are they allowed any make up at all in there? I thought it was really supposed to be stripped back to the bone, so to speak.

Russell's voice was Just sat there, grotty, starving, tired and then he just powerhoused that out! Incredible.

And Mo looked very dashing as Robin Hood - really suited him!

Also sad to see Hollie go as I'm getting slightly tired of Bev being just a little bit too much... poor megashag

So normally... we see a celeb chosen for a trial at 10pm, live on Weds.

Thursday, we watch weds daytime, weds post-10pm trial, weds post-10pm dinner, live choosing of celeb at 10pm Thurs.

When they did a live Friday trial at 10pm, then it means they have no time to choose a celeb and film a trial for the Saturday show. Hence running highlights.

Now they've done a live eviction but normally they'd show the Friday day and evening tomorrow.... but now Hollie would be in the footage shown tomorrow, pretty confusing.

So I though that again they need a day to reset and make sure that celeb 'isn't there'. But if there is no eviction tomorrow , that doesn't make sense. They're just getting out of sync again!

I assumed Holly had been told to introduce herself as MBE like her title credit and she probably wouldn't have queried it. Shame she's gone as she seems like a nice lass.

I really felt for holly, she looked gutted! I would hate to be the first one to go. Would be like going on holiday with your mates then leaving early.

I think it must be harder this year because we've all missed being around people and hugging etc then you get this lovely break from it when everything feels normal then it's back to tiers and the real world!

They always show the celeb that leaves.kinda like big brother showing their final day in the house then the goodbye reactions.
Only with I'm a celeb the eps are mainly about the trials silly challenges rather than what goes on in the camp.
I reckon they will continue to ditch live Saturdays next year.

I might be wrong but I’m sure someone in the earlier thread said we see the daytime footage of the current day (castle coin challenge etc) but then the trial and dinner of the previous day then obviously the live part goes back to the current day.

They film the trial straight after the live part and the dinner straight after that which is aired the following day. So they have a schedule of 11am to 1am.

Makes sense because that gives them time to film the morning footage and castle coin challenge in the morning then have it edited ready for the show that evening and then just stick the trial and dinner footage from the previous day on the end.

Chillies your reasoning makes no sense. In Australia the evictee is told live in the morning that they are leaving but then the footage is shown from the previous day ( trial, dingo dollars, meal etc ) . It's not confusing to see the evictee in this footage , it's the way it's always been done . Also when you say a 'live' eviction,they are all live as we vote for them. Nothing confusing here!!!
