Can someone help me? I can't find the answer online I watch SCD at home with no dancing background im just wondering how close the dances are to the actual dances.

I'm watching it with someone who EVERY WEEK says they aren't doing the dances properly or dancing as they went to a dance class a few hours a week for 2-3 months
