Oh what the hell. No challenges for immunity this year then...

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 26/11/2020 22:04

I love the Great British Public !Grin

Shane’s faux “oh no not me again” is annoying. Would rather see others do the trials.

ILoveYou3000 · 26/11/2020 22:04

Hollie or Russell first out I'd say.

Final is next Friday.

LaBelleSauvage123 · 26/11/2020 22:05

They wasted so much fish! They could have made a stock with the head, skin and bones and used it to make a fish stew which would have been more filling. Or kept the long thick spine bone in to cook it - then they would have wasted less fish.

ScottishStottie · 26/11/2020 22:22

See i dont think shane wants to be doing the trials. Not now anyway.

They all want to do the first few, as that shows who the public are interested in. Then once we get to know them a little bit, the trials either go to the ones we know will struggle (so entertainment) or the ones we dont like (punish them). Hes smart enough to know this, hes said enough times that he knows the format etc.

So he also knows he must be falling into one of those two categories. Other than tonight hes done well in the challenges so he must know hes being punished.

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 26/11/2020 22:23

Maybe, having clicked that the public aren't fond of him, he will stop trying to be Mr Nice Guy and just think "fuck it. I'll just be me" and become worse.

JaggyJumper · 26/11/2020 22:36

I can’t believe people actually like AJ. Admittedly I haven’t seen anything else he does but all I’ve seen of him on this is him moaning. I don’t think he knows how to crack a smile

AppleKatie · 26/11/2020 22:40

I like AJ more now than I did at the beginning!

BenoneBeauty · 26/11/2020 22:48

I like AJ.

Yes I agree you could tell by the look on his face tonight he’s worried he is doing something wrong, and iirc Vernon said something along the lines of that the public must like him and Shane said not necessarily. I don’t get the level of hate on here at all, at worst he probably might be annoying and not everyone’s cup of tea, but the vitriol he gets from posters here is beyond me.
showmethegin · 26/11/2020 22:54

I'm really struggling to understand Shane. Sometimes he appears quite nice, like how he supported Jess during the trial but that stuff with AJ tonight was just bizarre! What was he getting at? There is a lot bubbling under the surface with him to the extent that I think I'd find it hard being a camp mate with him. He's the kind to be a dick then try to pass it off as 'banter'.

they should have made stars worth more

I think they did? Although only 2 meals instead of 1.

mommydragon · 26/11/2020 22:58

I really don't like Shane after tonight. Passive aggressive people make me physically sick and the way Shane dropped the container with a loud clang and then put his hand on AJ's shoulder made me shudder. Almost challenging him and inviting some sort of reaction. I hate bullies and I suspect he could be one. Also he was so patronising at Hollie on tonight's trial.

ImAllOut · 26/11/2020 22:59

I get the impression that he is so used to being a big TV personality that he has no idea how to act away from the cameras, so is "on" all the time and everything is crafted. When he is being overly nice I think it's more because he's just acting than because he means it, but when his real feelings slip out like with AJ and Jess he's come across as a bit of a bitch. He tried to "correct" his behaviour by being nice to them but the overcompensating has just come across as false, to me anyway.

Shane likes to be the big guy of the camp. Billy big balls.

So when hes happy for jess, its because she was relying on him for support, she was grateful to him. He hates aj because hes challenging him.

Its actually very like how it would play out in nature... Old pack leader is getting on a bit, younger, fitter one comes along and challenges his territory.

mommydragon · 26/11/2020 23:00

@BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz

Victoria's comment was below the belt.
I must've missed that... what did she say and when please?
BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 26/11/2020 23:01

@mommydragon

Something along the lines of "it could have done with more fish"

LagneyandCasey · 26/11/2020 23:04

Throwing his bowl on the floor was nasty. AJ did well not to rise to it. I guess in the dancing world he's used to dealing with big egos and probably bullying too.

SanFranBear · 26/11/2020 23:04

I think that Shane and Hollie shouldve been in opposite tunnels as I reckon the filling of the bucket would've been much easier for Hollie... I also though A&D were a bit harsh as it didnt look easy - I just kept thinking theyll be covered in bruises from those sharp walls and rocky floors!

I think I might vote for Hollie to stay in, DD wants Jordan and DS likes Russell.

ZaraCarmichaelshighheels · 26/11/2020 23:05

@FlyingByTheSeatof

Is AJ being sulky though or just channelling his inner rage at Shane bullying him, it's probably happening more than we're shown. AJ is young and doesn't want to get drawn in by Shane who may have more experience with passive aggressive behaviour
I think it’s out of order to call someone a bully when you have no evidence of that behaviour and saying it’s probably happening more than we are shown is really not on, if AJ was being bullied there is no way he would put up with it, he’s a very self assured confident young man who can look after himself.
TheUnquestionedAnswer · 26/11/2020 23:06

why are some celebs exempt on medical grounds...I read BC had a hip op but not sure about the others nosey Grin

ScottishStottie · 26/11/2020 23:12

Yes i was wondering the same, what things people are exempt for and how they decide which trials people can do and which they cant.

Surprised hollie hasnt been exmpt from any so far, the crawling ones (like the one she actually did) would be very difficult with one arm, balance wise.

LagneyandCasey · 26/11/2020 23:22

Maybe Russell has health issues arising from his brain tumour so that's why he's exempt.
