I missed the beginning - sorry to be so macabre but what actually happened? There were lots of references to tragedy, the garage, the conservatory and the loss of Dad / daughter but I couldn't work out how it all came together

I was crying the whole way through. One of the most emotional ones I have ever seen.
I've been lucky to meet one couple who had a BB done for them. The two dads on the Isle of Sheppey.
They have opened their own farm now as my ds2 is their charity ambassador...
They are a lovely couple.

The little girl crashed her motorbike into the garage and died from head injuries. The Dad died from a heart attack in the conservatory... 😔 😔 😔 😔 😔

@FusionChefGeoff the poor woman's first daughter had a terrible accident on a quad bike in the garden and went head first into the garage without a helmet. Her husband had a massive heart attack a few years later in the conservatory. She didn't have insurance so couldn't do anything in the house. So so awful.

I just love DIY SOS, it’s so nice to see the community helping people in need and so life affirming. It was heartbreaking to hear this family’s story and wonderful to see them smile at the end, the son was such an asset to his mum, very polite and kind. Me and my 12 year old son were both blubbing

DH took part in a DIY SOS a few years ago. Says it’s the best thing he’s ever done. Amazing experience.

And yes, they do only have the x amount of days they say they have. But somehow they do it!

Ds2 found his Dadda dead just before his fifth birthday.... 😔 😔 😔

Thankyou... I did say to ds that if he couldn't watch it he was to change over but he's said he's OK..... He was very angry for many years after his Dadda died...
