I feel like AJ is going to be a bit of a diva. I'd like to see him do a trial and get his sumptuous, Vienetta-style locks covered in slime and cockroaches .

AJ is a sweetie ! He might turn into a complete nightmare as time goes on this, but I watched him on tv in a reality art show that was on last year and he seemed nice and pleasant enough. His very talented.
Even Shane Ritchie wasn't as bad as I thought he would be , but it's early days.
The castle did look like a film set : it's
beautiful. They all seem to be getting on so far but I do like it when they start niggling at each other! Which won't be long I suppose. I Also like Jordon.

@FloraFlamingo had to give up the Strictly thread cos all everyone does is moan about how they hate everyone, cannot figure out why they then continue to watch the show. Hopefully this won't go that way. Imagine getting through life being so easily annoyed at everything including random celebs on TV.

The reason people are saying no show on Saturday is because it’s going to be a different format- more of a weekly round up than a daily show I think.

Jordan is genuinely scared i think. That’s a lot of vom for a faker anyway. Poor boy hope he can toughen up quick.

I might get flamed for this.. but does anyone else wish they had stopped the use of insects and animals this year? I know last year they made a big fuss out of stopping the trials which including eating live insects, but this series with a brand new location could have been the perfect opportunity to go down a different route with trials. Instead of shipping in snakes from wherever and subjecting them to screaming contestants.

I was going to give it another go this year in a hope they'd not use so many creatures this year, but seems like it's going to be exactly the same formula.

It is a real place , but I wonder if they have ' sexed' it up a bit? Added on a few rooms?
Who would know? It seems huge : most castles I've been to are not that big so obviously I've missed out over the years! Not that I've been to many to be fair.

Yes, I am sure they could have concocted some man made gunge from something. Watching people get covered in bugs does get old after a bit.

There are rumours circulating that the weather, which is forecast to be torrential rain at the end of the week, may mean that the celebrities have to take shelter in an off camera shelter.

Yes, Tess has for some reason stayed with him and I think I read over the weekend they have put it behind them. It was ten years ago now.

Am sure I read about a perspex roof to prepare them for the rain.

I'm really enjoying strictly this year. We really laughed at Jamie Laing the first week but I've been really impressed how much he improved. It's hard to pick who should be in the dance off.

It’s the wrong time of year to shear sheep.....they need their woolly jumpers in the winter.

They've got Kiosk Clywydd (or something) in this one, that made me laugh

Not RTFT or watched the show but it is Kiosk Cledwyn.

Not sure where you got the Clywydd from but it made me think of Cywilydd (shame/embarrassment), so Kiosk Cledwyn seems quite tame.

I wish they'd stop using the live animals as well 😕 it's cruel and outdated to misuse animals for entertainment in this way. I'm surprised at Ant and Dec tbh.

Dumping a shit load of non native insects into the Welsh countryside can't be good either.

@Sparklingbrook re the insects, we were discussing this 5 mins ago and came to the conclusion that they should have used proper native wildlife. I would be happy to see a sack of slugs poured over them.
