They have made the castle look fantastic. I saw it lit up from the A55 the other evening. North Wales is so beautiful and it is lovely to see it being showcased on TV.

Agreed. I hope it really showcases North Wales. I'm watching from afar (Scotland) but have family who lives in Colwyn Bay.

In fairness the Australian version isn’t that rough and ready plus they have the weather. We aren’t trying to kill them.

Will there be issues with introducing non native insect species to the UK...? Surely they can't "clean" them all up after some of the types of challenges they do?

My and DH think it'll be a hotel in Llandudno, there are loads there and they're mostly empty due to lockdown.

Im a meat eating person who very much dislikes most of the critters on this, but I do wonder about the ethics of tasks like this - surely lots of them get squished?
I feel sorry for Jessica though, I feel like her (beautiful) hair is going to get a lots of bugs caught up in it.

It's the maggots normally. I'm not sure how many sets of clothes they have actually, but they normally wash them in the water!

Showering In the cold (even with hot water assuming they’ve got the boiler working) isn’t going to be pleasant. I foresee smellier more unwashed camp than usual.

Didn't they say they had hot water as long as the fire in the 'boiler room' keeps burning, so hopefully they can shower and wash their clothes. Or they may have extra sets as no creek to wash off in, and things won't dry like they do in the jungle.

So have they all isolated for two weeks beforehand? They acted like they didn't know each other but I had assumed they were all being kept safe somewhere before it started. And yes, had to laugh at the MBE introduction. Reminds me of when Lord Brocket was on and everyone was still calling him that at the end. So twattish.
