Five favourite teams return to take on five pairs of fans.

The rivals premise make it more soap opera than cooking show and I hate it.

Romel and poker face are equally awful and I want them to leave asap. Sophia is shite, he'd critiques are worthless.

I am.clearly over invested in this programme but I feel cheated and sooooooooooo cross. I enjoyed aus masterchef more and I dont normally like that

How do they choose who is cooking in the challenges as it doesn't seem to be all the teams in each house? (I'very only been half watching while doing other things so probably have missed the explanation)

I think the teams pick themselves.

Romel and Sophia insisted joing the first three for the faves cook off, even though they can't cook Mexican food.

For the first elimination the Vasil put themselves forward and were then robbed by the poker playing siblings. Definitely feel like a fix to keep drama going.

100% agree with that. All those 10s for the curried goat made with 2000 bay leaves (well for a bit). Hmmm...

Feel a bit cheated too by how much I don't like it anymore. I used to love it, and as newidentiy said I was looking forward to it this year.

It was teetering on the edge for the last two years but not too badly. Still had hope it might revert, but it's just fallen right off..

Saying that I might still end up watching- it's that investment fallacy at play!!!

Ive really gone off this series too. Plus the latest news about Pete being a neo nazi sympathiser is really crap. Also learned he is a covid denier, anti vaxxer, MLM pusher and doesnt believe in suncream

They definitely weighted the scores so the fans won and the faves were in elimination.

I've just caught up on the last few episodes, it's very boring, does Mark think he's some sort of super villain, the word "strategic" is getting on my nerves, Sophia and Romel are horrible people and I hate to say it but I've gone right off Manu, think I'll be giving up on it now, they've ruined it with this new format.

I'm raging though because it was one of my favourites and was really looking forward to it coming back.

I call shenanigans on that last scoring. The quail starter was raw and inedible. I. Teh past they have taken on the general quality across the table. Outrageous manipulation to keep one team in. Neither of the baddies are smart. It is ridiculous that they are having that much impact on the voting. I hate this series.

Ohhhh. Just found this dead thread a couple of years on. How bad was this series? Utterly ruined. Whole dish tasted of soap, MKR. I'm still cross. However, there is now a 2022 MKR with Manu, Colin, NIGELLA!?!', and perhaps, please not, Rachel Khoo. It's on Channel 7 Australia. If anyone finds it on streaming please post here. Ever hopeful.
