I've watched this in the last year or two...the main bit I can remember is there is a bloke who lives in a row of terraced houses that have been earmarked for demolition and he's determined to stay there. He gets visited by a policeman for some reason (maybe his son?!). There is some kind of corruption going on. We find out that the reason he's so resistant to the demolition is because he's killed his wife years before and she's in a black plastic bag in the wall....they demolish the house and find the body as it falls out of the staircase. I feel like it was a quite popular series (along the lines of Luther, Marcella etc) but DH is adamant he has no idea what I'm on about, and I can remember us watching it. So annoying!
