Anyone want to talk about Roadkill who has seen all four episodes?

I think I must have dozed off at various times because I have no idea what happened apart from a feeling of deja-vu where a ‘charismatic’ snake with low values and a superiority complex has pulled the rug from under a female and replaced her in the top job.
I presume another series is in the pipeline? Nothing seemed to be resolved, and I felt we as an audience were short-changed.

I think there will be a second series.

I enjoyed it but agree that a lot of it was underdeveloped.

Mainly I enjoyed it for the damning of the Conservative Party / British government that it represents.

Watched it all and a bit frustrated by it to be honest!

Firstly... the background music drove me to distraction. Whoever decided that was the right sort of music needs their head read!

Secondly... Hugh Laurie was great in it, played the part of a sleazy MP well.
But... awful miscasting for other parts
His 'aide' with the glasses looked about 18.
The girl he slept with, the PM's aide, she looked similar age!

As if they would be that young... look at Boris's Dominic!

Also felt the barrister was miscast, just found her not believable at all.

And the take off of Mrs Thatcher was a bit pathetic too!

Apart from that, I enjoyed it Grin

Yep it was East London, area where ds used to live, used quite often for filming, they stuck an american car on the road and dubbed american sirens over!

I really enjoyed it, but a rather quick finish, but must be open for more. The wife is going to bring him down!

I thought the Prime Minister was .ire Mrs May than Mrs Thatcher.

I didn't like the leasing solicitor but I like the young solicitor chap. He was in Strike too. Very sweet and well acted.

I honestly didn't find the MP character sleazy. I found him alternatively moraled!

Just finished watching and enjoyed it, but all rather inconsequential really. Liked HL character and thought he was one of the more honest and straightforward. Daughter Lily was a nightmare and so entitled.
And I loved the music!

I loved the music. Agree PM was more a TM rather than MT character. I did watch the 4th episode and think 'is that it?' It feels like it needs a second series because there are so many loose ends. Think someone said on this thread or the other one that the daughters from his marriage were rather self indulgent, I thought the younger daughter was awful but the older daughter was OK, she'd just removed herself from the family.
