Anyone watching?

I've only watched last week's episode so far but that mum who lost her son 😭 felt for her so much
And how she's talking about her
Story so it doesn't happen again

It's always the music at the end that gets me

Yes. It's. Very cardiac arrest heavy this series. They usually only have 1 or two per series. And already 3. The young man last week was incredibly sad.

purpleme12 · 24/09/2020 21:51

Yes really sad

And it sounds like if he wasn't on a high construction site he might have stood more of a chance because they'd have been able to do chest compressions while moving

Wasn't impressed with some of the manual handling on last nights episode. Patients should never be moved under the arms like one of the teams were doing.

purpleme12 · 28/09/2020 20:33

You know in the last one it said they've pulled in extra call handlers when it all went wrong and then said senior staff have come in on their days off.
Where did they pull in the extra call handlers from?
It sounded like they didn't come in from their days off

You saw one computer working when they were all down

A member of my family was involved in a dreadful RTA...they are alive today because they were flown to the nearest trauma centre...I LOVE the helicopter Doctor, Paramedics who, essentially saved their life. They are amazing!

KittCat · 28/09/2020 21:50

Oh shit...I was referring to helicopter heroes 🙄

Yes There was.

Toddlerteaplease · 14/10/2020 21:16

An ambulance fir testicular pain, seriously. It's a medical emergency but does not need 999.

Toddlerteaplease · 14/10/2020 21:23

*surgical not medical.

purpleme12 · 25/10/2020 21:41

So sad after watching this week's 😓

It got to me too.

theliverpoolone · 28/10/2020 22:28

Everyone on tonight's episode was just amazing. Those young call workers talking people through resuscitation of attempted suicides, and the paramedics going to those calls. That poor lady whose son couldn't be saved - the paramedics were so respectful, asking her in to hold his hand Sad. I was in awe of all of them.

DowntonCrabby · 28/10/2020 23:46

Tonight’s episode was devastating.

I have such huge respect for everyone working within the emergency services

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 29/10/2020 20:36

What they said. This is an absolutely outstanding series. Some of those paramedics and call handlers are so young. I take my hat off to them.

Yellowmellow2 · 29/10/2020 20:49

This really is an outstanding programme. Extraordinary compassion shown by all the staff regardless of the patients’ needs. They’re a credit to our wonderful NHS.

Another excellent episode. There was an ambulance parked on our street one day this week and I found myself craning to see if we 'knew' the paramedics Blush.

We were incredulous at how long the paramedics spent waiting for the woman whose elderly mum had called them. The woman had gone into the bathroom and refused to come out and they were there for an hour and a half. But when we did eventually see her it was clear she was in a dreadful state, mentally as well as physically. Their patience with her was remarkable. A sad, sad backstory there for the whole family, I imagine. Sad

Xmasfairy86 · 06/11/2020 12:31

I need to go back and watch the rest but saw the one with that lady - patience of a saint those paramedics

purpleme12 · 06/11/2020 22:40

Yes really sad

I just love the ambulance people on these programmes. Those 2 ambulance people and their relationship with the resource manager, when he said she makes my heart sing. I felt really sad when it said she stopped working!

Lou’s story was tragic. The family must have suffered for many years. Wonderful that the ambulance crud showed such compassion both to Lou and her elderly mother.

Yellowmellow2 · 07/11/2020 08:50

Sevendaysaweek · 08/11/2020 00:20

This whole series has been heartbreaking some really sad stories.
