Same here, caught it when channel hopping and got hooked.....really interesting programme, good to see the view from Americans living in Mexico.

Seeline · 08/09/2020 09:05

I love Sue - she makes all her programmes fascinating.

The80sweregreat · 08/09/2020 09:53

She is very good isn't she? Not too over the top and willing to embrace different things.

Both very good programmes and thought provoking.

colouringindoors · 08/09/2020 23:54

Really interesting and thought provoking. And so much broader perspective than you get from news stories about the region.

CoolYourBeansMySon · 09/09/2020 00:21

I've not been a fan of Sue before this but I thought she was very good. Willing to see all sides of the story. Interesting first show.

Deathraystare · 09/09/2020 13:36

I did not see the first one but thought the one last night with the ladies on horseback was lovely. I do hope that family can all be together at some day :(

Standrewsschool · 09/09/2020 20:50

Missed the first one, but saw it last night. Really interesting.

xanthippe8 · 09/09/2020 22:07

If Sue was reciting the phone directory I'd listen to her!

Inkanta · 11/09/2020 06:37

Yes I didn't expect to enjoy it. Thought it might be all political anti-Trump about building a wall but it was really fascinating and Sue is a natural at this.

mizu · 11/09/2020 07:56

Where can I watch this, please?

Breathmiller · 12/09/2020 21:37

@mizu
Its on I-player.
We just watched both episodes. I always find Sue Perkins interesting to watch and brings a real sense of warmth in her interactions with the families she interviews

mizu · 12/09/2020 22:00

Thanks breath - will watch

NeedWineNow · 12/09/2020 23:23

I love watching her programmes. She always comes across as having a real interest in the people she meets and gives a really balanced view. I find her so interesting. Try and find the one she did on India. That was fascinating.

longtompot · 14/09/2020 12:12

We watched the first one but didn't realise the second was in the next night so have missed it. Will catch up though.

I really like Sue, loved her in the bbc 2 thing with Giles where they went back in time and tried out the food, dress and life from bygone times. Informative and fun.

Breathmiller · 14/09/2020 14:25

Yeah, i loved that programme. I have liked all the spin offs from it too but think the ones with Sue and Giles were the best
