I did enjoy the reboot. Starbuck is one of my girl crushes.

KihoBebiluPute · 06/09/2020 07:58

is this the reboot or the older one?

AnythingConsidered · 06/09/2020 08:01

I spotted this on BBC 2 last night and couldn't help but watch! Love the casting in this reboot

alislim · 06/09/2020 09:42

It is one of the best series. Just gets better. So many things you don't see coming- or maybe just me

stumbledin · 06/09/2020 17:09

Isn't this quite old. I've not seen it before, but recognised some of the cast and they all seem very young and the CGI is not very good!

And the sound level for the voices was all over the place.

stumbledin · 06/09/2020 17:11

Just checked it is from 2004 - 2009..

myrtleWilson · 06/09/2020 17:23

we loved this, we bought DD a Viper t-shirt I recall!

bellinisurge · 06/09/2020 17:26

We've been binge watching it on DVD box set anyway. I love it.

TinyMetalBirds · 06/09/2020 17:30

I was so excited to see if to see it last night! DH agreed to watch the first of the mini series with me, I am hoping it has hooked him so he will want to watch the rest but it’s hard to tell with him.
I first watched BSG on DVD over the course of about three years and I am so pleased I refrained from Googling or reading anything about it during that time, so everything came as a surprise. Normally I can’t help looking stuff up if I’m watching a show that has been out for a while.

WingBingo · 10/09/2020 20:49

One of the best series I have ever seen, after The Wire and Breaking Bad.

Fracking toasters 😁

Sci-fi is my favourite genre of tv and Battlestar Galactica my favourite sci-fi.

The Expanse is a close second.

It was made during the 'war on terror ' and some would say it was allegorical. Certain torture scenes for example.

I am very much enjoying rewatching it. Still hate Dr Gaius Baltar yet simultaneously rooting for him.Grin

Cooroo · 28/09/2020 00:33

I've started watching this - never saw it before, I can't imagine why. We're in season 2 and it's getting better and better.

Yes Gaius was making me scream abuse, especially with his glam Cylon sidekick, but now he's met a 'real' one I'm rooting for them.

That hideous near rape of Sharon and the obvious abuse on Pegasus were horrible. But hooray for the crew of BG.

I'm also a massive Expanse fan (and way way back Star Trek TOS and TNG) and this is an exciting find.
