Similar to New Amsterdam, Grey's Anatomy? (Medical Theme Not Essential!)

Hi all,

I've watched both of the above, (New Amsterdam after a Mumsnet recommendation), and loved them. I devoured them in bed (sometimes back to back!).

I am now struggling to find something I can feel really involved in and feel a bit of emotion over! Any recommendations gratefully received. Doesn't have to be medical based at all. I also liked The Good Wife and The Good Place in case that helps.

If you like greys then have you watched private practice? Same family but follows dereks ex wife.

the Night Shift (Netflix) and Code Black (Prime) are more medical dramas. Of course all of ER is on All4.

Chicago Fire/Med/Police I think the early series are on Prime now - I've only watched Med and had to give up after Connor left as it got more Days of Our Lives than anything else.

Station 19 is on Prime - same team as Greys and some cross over.

The Good Fight is on Prime - follow up to the Good Wife but takes a swing left. Or right, I'm not sure but it's not a direct follow on.

I tend to use tv to unwind in the evenings rather than just be on my phone and find it a bit miserable when there is nothing in that into!

I think I'm ready for something not medical based!

Station 19 is set in the same place as greys, the characters appear in both at times.

Sorry, meant to write that station 19 is following the fire service. It's a shonda-land production so very similar to greys.

The other Medical dramas I like is The Resident and The Good Doctor.

I seem to like police shows but they need a "unusual person with special talent" to crack the case like Lie to Me, the Mentalist, Instinct and Unforgettable. The newest being The prodigal son.

This Is Us is excellent, think it's only on Amazon Prime, definitely binge worthy.

The Good Doctor is great. Chicago Fire is also binge worthy and is very easy on the eyes....
