On tonight. Says a repeat but doesn’t ring any bells with me

When a detective husband is murdered , she is expected to leave the investigation to her colleagues

But she finds herself losing trust in them and goes behind their backs to find dh killer

Sounds good. Love a crime/thriller

Oh thanks that sounds interesting. I need a new thriller to watch!

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/09/2020 20:19

Watching on catch up. Not overly wowed tbh. Bit predictable. Plus lead actress annoys me with her smirky face .
Typical itv drama but will still watch haha

purpleme12 · 02/09/2020 23:00

I think it's good so far

JamieLeeCurtains · 02/09/2020 23:04

I turned over because I got that face blindness thing where all the younger blokes with dark hair looked the same, and I couldn't be arsed.

Blondeshavemorefun · 03/09/2020 08:15

Just found this and watching episode one ready for episode two tonight. It was on in 2015, there is a thread about it from then but I don’t recall seeing it, I hardly recognised Sheridan Smith with the short hair

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/09/2020 15:52

Suprised more aren’t watching

Yes weird seeing her dark and short and usually blonde and long

Ending tonight

I'm giving it another go because I like Sheridan Smith.

Terrible sound quality, terrible lighting, rubbish script, formulaic direction, erratic editing, derivative plot.

What a waste of a great cast.

purpleme12 · 04/09/2020 21:32

Oh I like it

RedRiverShore · 04/09/2020 21:49

I’m enjoying it, surprised I missed it first time round

JamieLeeCurtains · 04/09/2020 21:52

"You just wouldn't leave things alone ..."

It's a bit "pesky kids"

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/09/2020 14:23

I watched this even thought I watched it when first shown.

Originally I thought it was quite cr*p but this time round was quite interested in the plot (having forgotten who the real criminal was).

But then right at the end remembered why it had really peed me off the first time.

I dont do sentimental.

But it was funny as so many of the actors in this went on to do other detective series so it was quite confusing having a bit of Vera, Shetland and countless others pop into my head!

(Also first time round Sheridan Smith seemed quite refreshing this time round made me think she is a bit samey.)

What I want is a really good NEW crime series. Really bored with tv at the moment.

I struggle to watch anything with Sheridan Smith in - I find her unbelievable for gritty parts, and telly in general. She's more suited to the stage I think - I'm struggling with a pouting, doe-eyed, strutting police officer.
