Anybody watching Lovecraft Country

Lovecraft Country airing now on HBO. Produced by Misha Green and Jordan Peele. Ostensibly it's about Atticus “Tic” Freeman, an African American, on a road trip to find his missing father.
Be warned though, it may be a supernatural tale but it's not exactly an easy watch as it's set in the 1950s with the Jim Crow laws still in force.

Only seen the first episode but intrigued.

I watched it and am hooked - such a compelling drama.

I just watched it and I like it. I didn't see that coming. Looking forward to the next episode.

I just watched episode 1, what the jeff was that all about at the end?!? Will give episode 2 a whirl but not convinced it's going to work for me long term

Great soundtrack! But it’s pretty mystifying. Totally confused where it’s going after episode 2.

Wow! Just watched episode 6 and 7.
The hbo series in my opinion is very loosely based on the book (Which I couldn’t put down). Great interpretation though.

Yes some episodes have been too gruesome for my liking, but it’s good.

I'm not sure its entirely Lovecraftian, but really enjoying it, and I like that you are genuinely surprised/bemused about what is going on sometimes

Is anyone still watching this? I just had tears streaming down my face at the Tulsa episode. I only knew about that at all from Watchmen, it illustrates it all so horrifically well.
