Just finished it! Anyone else? What did you think?

Enjoyed it more as it went on. I'm a fan of true crime but this was the first time I had heard of Betty Broderick.
Amanda Peet was excellent and it's a shame you don't see her in more films/TV shows.

I thought she was fantastic. I'm the same, love true crime podcasts etc but wasn't familiar with this. I wonder how accurate it is. There's a podcast apparently.

Watching her unravel was painful. I really hated Dan so much when he said she was right all along about the affair. I didn't agree with a lot of the things she did, obviously, but his smug face at that point made me want to punch him

Anyone think about the threads on here about fidelity and how some people think it would never happen to them, when Betty and her friends were commiserating with one of their friends who was left for a younger woman. That one burned.
It's a very good show and the soundtrack is excellent.

I found it heartbreaking, watching her fall apart like that and then emotionally abuse her children. I hated her vile husband.
It was a hard watch, but weirdly addictive.

I thought the actress was great but I felt irritated. Mostly I thought just stop.

And that he should have changed his number and the locks.

The fashion was good.

The acting was very good, but I was also irritated by her. I also disliked that the fact that she'd shot her ex and Linda as they slept was portrayed from her "couldn't see in the dark" viewpoint. She was a double murderer and I felt that they were hiding the reality of what she did so we'd sympathise with her. She kept making vile telephone calls, drove into their house, stole stuff from them, destroyed their property and did a lot to contribute to her children's unhappiness.

Yes, he was the usual cliche - middle aged man + younger assistant, but she behaved badly too. She was so self-destructive and brought a lot of it on herself. I liked the last bit where she was looking at herself making different and better choices.
