Would anyone like to help me through my Outlander withdrawal?

I've just finished all the episodes so far and can't wait for S6 (which will be much delayed [shakes fist] damm you Covid).

I'll of course put it on the table at the start that I am a little bit in love with Jamie Fraser, so May have some ahem, "hormonal" opinions but I do think the whole thing is beautifully shot and most of the time wonderfully acted.

However, I can see it's faults, there are some plot lines picked up and dropped too easily, some can be horribly convoluted plot devices (did you not think of getting Ian a boat rather than making him swim?), and the villains get a bit pantomime in the later seasons.

I'm also not too thrilled with the Author's continual use of rape to denote peril in the plot.

But, I has been a fabulous, beautiful, sensual rabbit hole to be down and now I'm bereft and finding myself in occasional Jamie Fraser daydreams Grin.

Anyone else?

I was like that.. you need to find your next binge! I really liked The Tudors, Ozark and suborgetory.

I have greatly enjoyed Outlander, although I thought the first half of the last season was a somewhat plodding although still beautiful to look at (iykwim :) )

Looking forward to Lucifer returning next week - bit of a genre switch.

Read the books-they are wonderful! Jamie Fraser is simply marvellous.

Re TV though-Poldark, Jamestown, Last Kingdom, Vikings, Britannia are all good.

The Last Kingdom and Vikings may work

I've watched The Last Kingdom and have Vikings on the list.

Yes, I thought the 1st half is S.5 was a bit slow too but the Brianna/Bonnet episode on the Island pulled it right back

You're now in the phase commonly referred to as Droutlander. 😁

Have you watched Poldark? There are 4 seasons of it on Netflix.
