What is National Geographic good for? Want to watch Barkskins but need to subscribe so what else would I get?!

Already have access to a lot of channels I never watch. And to day have never missed not having National Geographic.

But have seen Barkskins is starting tonight which I do want to watch.

But not sure one series is worth the cost of a whole channel!

And at some point it may be repeated on another channel.

Is National Geographic mainly documentaties?

It’s mainly documentaries. I really like it, but then I like watching documentaries on natural disasters, shark attacks etc might not be for everyone.

Thanks FAQs - I had assumed it was mainly documentaries which I why i was surprised they showing an "historical" drama!

As it turns out my provider - Virgin Media in fact doesn't let you choose any channel to have as an add on. It is only Sky Sports and Sky something else.
