Might get flack for this but I've noticed about 2 or 3 'celebs' I follow on insta (Jamie Dornan and Jodie Comer included) that their posts say 'comments are limited on this post' but as I follow both and can't comment, I imagine it means 'comments are limited to who the profile follows'.
If I am completely honest I find that a bit irksome. If you have 70K followers but you only allow 1K to comment on your posts what's the point. Where's the engagement with the rest of your non-luvvie, non-collab 'friends'?
BTW I'll now unfollow anyone that does this so before anyone says 'just unfollow 🤷♀️' I have but I think the trend is annoying.
