Very Important Bears in the House

It was on last week BBC 2.

I was working and just got the last few minutes of it but was not too worried as it was repeated on Saturday. I bloody fell asleep!

I saw at the end that little Mary was there but they had a break in and one 9two) of the bears were presumably missing.

Does anyone know what happened. I don't have catch up.

Would have been unconsoleable (can't blasted spell) if it was little Mary. I love her!!

It wasn't Mary but it was two little bear cubs they named Jane and David who were presumably kidnapped by poachers and they haven't been found. I don't know if you saw both episodes but the guy in the programme had looked after them in his home and spent time getting their trust and getting them back to good health only for that to happen. I'm usually a kind person but I wish the poachers a long slow death, preferably at the hands of some fearsome grizzly bears!

Thanks for your reply.

Oh goodness. I missed the very first bit about him raising the cubs but saw him with Mary who is the absolute sweetest bear ever ever ever. I just loved her expressions!

Very sad about those two.

Yes I agree with you about the poachers. There is a special place in Hell for them am sure there is!

I would have been sobbing if it was Mary, but it is still very sad.

I hope you saw Mary's happy ending where she went into a large enclosure and made another bear friend to spend her days with. She was certainly the most smiliest bear I've ever seen!

Here's a bit more Mary-time:

Thanks for that more Mary time!. Yes I saw she had a friend! She has so much energy! I think I managed to see the last five minutes or so when I got home from work on whatever weekday it was on.

These bears broke my heart, oh my goodness. Mary - who wouldn't fall in love with her?

David and Jane the baby bears - absolutely gut wrenching. They were so timid and frightened and in that sanctuary they would have had love and care and would have blossomed and been happy - so what actually did happen to them is beyond abhorrent. It was so upsetting. I woke up still thinking about them the following morning, wondering where they are now - it is tragic. The people who ruin their lives in these bear bile farms are a disgrace. No compassion for living feeling creatures at all.

I was lucky enough to visit the Freed the Bears compound in Cambodia with my family last year - pre-covid to be 'bear keepers' for a day. These sun and moon bears are so beautiful. They love to play and a really characterful. The charity is so close to my heart. I am loving this series!

I was in bits thinking it might be Mary but luckily saw the last few minutes and she was still there - like the energiser bunny, so much energy!

Sad for the other two bears :(
