I watched it! Used to love it back in the day, happy to see her back.

The family had such a lovely house with so much outside space, it's a shame they fell into the iPad rut. I'm glad the parents figured out a way to work together in the end.

my eldest son said, they probably should have saved some of the kids, until Riley was a teenager, too many too soon i reckon.

Yes I saw this. How adorable was the little boy (after supernanny had worked her magic) when his mum said it's time to put down the iPad? Bless him he didn't need the blasted thing he just wanted to play with his dinosaurs and interact with his parents.

Did anyone watch episode 2? I felt really sorry for Maria, I hope she ended up getting more support.

SlumMumBum · 28/07/2020 20:49

I'm just watching episode 2. I feel so sad for her - her husband was clearly not doing his part when he was around. Those poor children Sad

PasstheBucket89 · 29/07/2020 11:38

Yes! the Corry Family i felt for her, and tbf a bit for him he'd obviously taken in a military stoic mentality, and and did try to change, im glad it Adressed PPD and her being isolated.

I watched both episodes! Love Jo Frost, she always comes across so lovely. Wish she would do some more UK ones but seems she lives in the US now.

CrowdedHouseinQuarantine · 17/08/2020 21:35

Anyone watching?

dazzlingdeborahrose · 17/08/2020 22:06

Watching tonight. It's an odd dynamic.

Caught up on all the episodes screened so far. I love Jo Frost, she is refreshingly honest but positive and inspiring too.

I have been in tears, mostly for these poor kids who are getting a raw deal because their parents are ill equipped or too young (Garcia's) or whatever.

I believe parenting classes ought to help with parenting itself rather than describe only how to change nappies. Maybe include simple things like don't swear in front of your children, play with them. Some of the parents like the Dad from the Corry family mirrored his own parents who spanked him and it was amazing how his mindset changed. And in such a short space of time.

Looking forward to next week's. The clip showed the dad telling Jo her 6 hour assessment of his family was wrong 😳 should be good!

I love Supernanny. I'm pleased the Garcia family were taught how to be parents but I kept thinking they were both very young to have four children. I've just checked her blog out of curiosity and of course her life looks picture perfect.
They've now got five children!

SingToTheSky · 21/08/2020 17:47

I have enjoyed the series so far. I know what you mean about the Garcias being young, they seemed young in a naive sort of way I guess? I felt awful for Maria in episode two as well. Glad the dads in both seemed to turn things around though.

MrsSiba · 22/08/2020 10:19

Yes, I too thought the dads were great at listening to the feedback and implementing the techniques Jo suggested.

Have been catching up on this - OMG the house envy! I always think Americans just have amazing houses in films, but no they really do irl don't they Shock
