Why do they always think they know best??

Report

Clayhead · 14/10/2004 09:55

SO how much money did they end up losing?

Report

SoupDragon · 14/10/2004 09:56

£26,000 I think. They didn't actually lose it because they hadn't sold it but that's what they stood to lose at the average valuation I think.

FFS could you get 2 more stupid people - yes he wanted to help but he was useless FFS!! GGGRRR DP and I sit with our blood pressure rising watching these lately and the fireplace thing - aaarrrggghhh it was yuck was always going to be yuck and was big time inthe way!! And the uge bed - it just made the room look small regardless of the 'look' they were trying to achieve!!

(DP made comment about how weird the womens boobs were though sort of low slung puppy dog ears (sorry if you are a MN though!!) - he was amazed they didn't grow through the pregnancy - unlike my huge inflatables!!)

am I the only one who thought the original kitchen was just fine?

I would love a kitchen like that in my house atm, instead of a sink on stick in a brick room

Too dark wasn't it? I missed the very beginning but didn't it have orangy pine units and a red brick floor?

I did laugh when he gave up trying to do the pastering. What a nutter!

Forget the property - WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON WITH BEENYS HAIR???

Report

snmum · 14/10/2004 10:06

I missed the begining too, dh said it was horrible but the shots back to it looked OK

i think they seem to forget that it is a money making venture and go all personal. Although i got the impression that she wanted to live in the house, maybe?

Open Plan with my kids just wouldnt work

I wouldn't want him to be my business advisor .

And why did they have to spend so much on furniture (£7000 ?) - especially when they had nowhere do go once they did sell it.

How come no-one ever listens to Beany ? Surely if you had someone with her experience giving you free advice you would at least consider ?

Report

throckenholt · 14/10/2004 10:09

and I agree - beany's hair was very distracting - I kept thinking I hope she didn't pay for someone to do that to her.

And it was nice to see someone else whose body shape didn't suit advanced pregnancy

Report

Twinkie · 14/10/2004 10:09

They could have painted the original kitchen and saved shit loads - do you know I could be a property developer and a supernanny/littleangels lady according to DP!!

And Beany's hair - I have no idea - she was in a mag a while ago saying she goes to blah blah cause he great - it looks like a flock of seagulls has used her for target practice so I presume that blah blah's client list has fallen dramatically!! (And blow dry it FFS before you appear on national TV - you must get yourself a stylist to sort out hair and makeup and to buy you a proper bra!!)

she does go on a bit though, even when people agree with her she still picks fault. just my opinion but i suppose it gets viewings

Pregnancy has made her hair REALLY dry! Nice to see a normal "celeb" ... sorry will let you go back to talking about the house (IMO the layout was MADNESS - loved the furniture though!)

SoupDragon · 14/10/2004 10:13
