It is twenty five years since the Srebrenica massacre and BBC 4 are showing this Storyville documentary. This wasn't his only act of anti humanity but it is his most notorious. They showed footage of him arriving in Srebrenica and being embraced and congratulated by his troops.

Testimony from a witness who left her home: "Yes it was safe if you wanted to get your throat slit." She has just seen footage of her husband calling to their son to come out of hiding and join him in safety after Serbian soldiers assured him of this, before killing them.

Well, it was a very absorbing documentary. Obviously it's a huge subject with lots of information - the hearing took over 500 days - so you're not going to get it all in an hour and a half but it was very well done. His final words to the tribunal were ... consistent.

Also I apologise for my wording in my header. As of 2017 what happened in Srebrenica is now classed as genocide.
