I really wanted to stay awake for the Stefanos match. I failed. I am so rubbish at this staying awake lark. I'm dreading back to school. My sleep patterns are all over the place. Mind you, having seen the scoreline, it seems Kevin didn't really give Stef much of a match- maybe not over his cramp.

Djock has pulled out of Western & Southern Doubles with a bad neck.

No, Kazza that's why the cynic in me thinks it is all just part of Djok's game plan. I understand having an issue that that he wouldn't want to exacerbate, with the open round the corner, like a muscle strain, but something more acute like a dodgy neck would surely affect him- singles or doubles.

He is a drama llama though. Remember the fuss with his eyes in Melbourne? He still managed to win. .
Presumably he must be due to play to day at some stage- so the extent of his 'injury' will become apparent.

I am awaiting yet another call from the dentist. DD2's needs a second filling- why they couldn't deal with this last week, I don't know. And she has a hospital appointment tomorrow for her stomach problems. Everything feels like it is happening at one- and she is back at school next week.

I spent most of yesterday bursting into tears . Anxiety and stress is getting to me at the moment. I am grateful for the tennis (and you lovely lot) to distract me- even if I don't manage to stay awake!

And I have just seen that there is a match later that is a commentators ^dream*- Opelka is playing Schwartzman!!

The height comments will be constant in that match .

I think we might be going out around 5-ish so I might miss some of the matches I want to see (fancy seeing how Medvedev is looking at the moment).

Sorry to hear you’re struggling Raahh and Spidey . I have up and down days - today has felt relatively normal - yoga in the morning and then I met a friend for coffee but then I went into some shops and got cross because my mask made me hot and I couldn’t find what I wanted and didn’t want to keep touching things and people were getting in my way. Oh well first world problems for me - at least the coffee was half price!

Do you think the height difference will get mentioned? I’m also looking forward to seeing Medvedev - he’s quite an intriguing player and seemed on the verge of big things last year. Djok definitely won’t get any sympathy from me and yes he is a drama llama!

Shoes are the thing I am having problems with- and replacing the P.E skort that dd2 insists she wants (I got the wrong size, didn't get her ro try it and now nowhere has the right size). She has to go to school in PE kit and wear it all day on day on Fridays and Monday (PE day) so I want to make sure it is comfortable - usually I am happy with 'just about fits' for the purpose of primary P.E .

Medvedev has had a haircut so doesn’t look as much like Shaggy these days (although his coach still has a bit of a Shaggy haircut!)

The commentator seems to be talking about the Raonic/Evans match so not sure if they’ve got the commentary mixed up?

I used to dread buying school uniform - I usd to buy it at the beginning of the holidays and hope they didn’t have a growth spurt . Buying shoes was the worst!

And he has such an exaggerated grip. When he goes to serve, it's as if he's holding a frying pan. It clearly works though!

Jane I am hoping he has been using his time (since the Adria tour) to practice his serve. And stay away from night clubs. I hope Ferrer is a good influence (even if he's not in the US).
