I loved it ! Didn’t want it to end

Me too I thought it was fab! Kerry Washington and Reece Witherspoon were great, the music was also really fitting, it's got me back into a bit of Alanis Morissette !

Lardlizard · 08/07/2020 23:05

I love the time setting and changing as well, what do you think happened to Izzy in the end ? Obv she ran away but I wonder what happened to her

Loved it! Kerry's acting was a bit weird (the weird angry looks and gritted teeth) but I thought the teenage actors were great. If you enjoyed that you'd like Big Little Lies.

AKissAndASmile · 08/07/2020 23:08

Yes, the actors that played young Reece and young Kerry were really like them!

AKissAndASmile · 08/07/2020 23:10

I think Izzy will end up on the streets. She's not very streetwise and so will be very vulnerable.

Lardlizard · 08/07/2020 23:17

Perhaps Izzy will end up being abused on the streets 😰😰

I liked it but found Maya's constant lip gurning really distracting! Once i noticed it I couldn't unsee it. All the characters were awful in their own ways.

It was a bit like big little lies which I also liked.

Girlswithflowers · 08/07/2020 23:21

The tv show has different endings to thd book - Ggoogle it.

Cherry321 · 08/07/2020 23:23

I enjoyed although found the May Ling / Mirabelle storyline a bit far fetched. Seemed a hell of a coincidence!

MrsSiba · 09/07/2020 01:56

Does anyone know where you can get Big Little Lies? Can't see it on Prime or Netflix

ladybirdsarelovely33 · 09/07/2020 02:00

The book is better and has significant differences to the Amazon series

eternalopt · 09/07/2020 08:39

Big little lies is on sky

Brevityisthesoulofwit · 09/07/2020 12:28

What house did Pearl go to at the end? I couldn’t work it out (thought I might be the house she stole the horses from but really don’t know).

I don’t know about Izzy. Didn’t we see Maya pick her up but then she wasn’t with them at the house.

Agree about Maya’s angry gritted teeth look - really annoying.

Reese Witherspoon played basically the same character as she does is Big Little Lies (which I also loved).

What can I watch now though?

Councilworker · 09/07/2020 21:16

Pearl was at her grandparents' house.

RozHuntleysStump · 10/07/2020 13:58

It was very decent and I enjoyed it.

AKissAndASmile · 11/07/2020 18:50

I don’t know about Izzy. Didn’t we see Maya pick her up but then she wasn’t with them at the house.

Izzy was imagining that bit. It didn't happen.

crosser62 · 11/07/2020 18:56

Where can I watch it please?

Lardlizard · 11/07/2020 22:32

Crosser it’s on prime

Loved this show!

Made me cry a lot!

I thought the young actors were all superb, Izzy broke my heart.

The only actress I wasn't keen on was Pearl's mum, she was so bloody miserable all the time. Poor Pearl!

longhaulstress · 13/07/2020 17:35

Really enjoyed it. Sad there was only 8 episodes (even though I realise it was a book).

Thought all the young characters were brilliant especially Pearl.
Definitely reminded me of Big little lies probably as Reese witherspoons character was so similar and the different dynamics between mothers .

CottonSock · 13/07/2020 17:38

It annoyed me as I had just finished the book. Big differences in plot and characters I couldn't get over.
