I am constantly amazed at the skill of the craftspeople on this show. I find it unbelievable, and also strangely comforting, that people have these skills in carpentry, leatherwork, upholstery, French polishing and so on. Tonight, they were restoring a 100 year old kaleidoscope, and needed some tiny glass vials of coloured oil. So the guy made some - but of course ! - then declared he’d never worked with glass!!

I think its lovely that people have skills to do things like this, I cant even sew on a button. I hope somewhere, somehow these skills are being passed on to the next generation.

It always makes me cry too!

I’ve lost count of the times I’ve been in tears over this. The chap who wanted his jukebox repaired so he could play the song he first danced with his wife to, seven years after she died, had me in floods.

Yes, makes me cry every week.

Was it on this week? My BT box didn't record it so I assumed the series finished with last week's repeat.

yes they are repeats but I have to say I still find myself getting hooked on every episode even though I know how they all turn out!

The glass was amazing! He must have had a go at it before filming. They are all so skilled.

They are repeats but there are a good few I've not seen before. This week was one of them.

Yes they are repeats, but I haven’t seen many of them. I still love them. I have a family heirloom thing I want repaired, I might apply for the next series.
